Anyone tried the Zagg HDX for iPhone 6 / 6 Plus? How does it fit the screen?

I did. The love affair lasted all of six hours. They installed it and it looked great. For a few hours. Then it too started to unseat at the edges, which I found unacceptable, so it went back. For whatever reason, my Space Grey with black screen won't let a screen protector seat completely. At this point, since I'll have had my phone 3 weeks this Friday, and I have zero scratches, my screen is going to stay naked.

I have used the Griffin Survivor on my iPhone 4 for the last 3 years. The screen protector has been great. Not the feel of glass, but very responsive. It protected my phone when I dropped a heavy duty pair of Cutco scissors point-down onto the screen from a height of 6 inches--no damage whatsoever, no scratch or chip or anything. The case prevented any and all damage when dropped from numerous angles and heights and protected the phone against an occasional spill (family household). The only thing I don't like about the new case is the lack of coverage for the camera. The Survivor for the iP4 covers every port.

I bought it from Amazon and the return procedures states:

This item isn't eligible for return.

This item can’t be returned since it requires special transportation and handling which we can’t provide. Use the Contact us button for help addressing your issue.

So I clicked the "Contact Us" button, send an email with links to my pictures and am waiting for their response.

I've tried Tech Armor and Sir Lancelot's Armor and returned them both due to similar issues. Managed to get full refund for both.

Film Protector review: IQ Shield for iPhone 6, $6.99 from official Amazon seller. Pros: Cut and fit perfect. I mean exact, contours to full face surface yet still excepts my cheap Puregear clear case. Wet install + semi-permeable material means you can position it before setting and 100% all bubbles evaporate in a few days. Medium thickness which I suppose cushions impacts. Totally transparent, hard to tell its installed. Strong adhesion. Removed cleanly when replacing.

Cons: requires hard to find degreaser free and sent free dish liquid to install. (I used Johnson's baby shampoo, see below.) Tactiley less pleasing then glass. fingerprints were average. I found myself wiping off the phone every few days with my tee shirt. No special anti-glare.

details: I can't show any pictures because I removed my protector. you add water to the baby shampoo before applying the screen and apparently I didn't mix it well. It's impossible to tell with the naked eye but when you look at the screen with polarized glasses the extra soapy areas show up as dark smudges

under the protecter. Because I'm an insane person, and because the protector doesn't feel as awesome as glass, I impulsively pulled it off today. Probably should've ordered a replacement first. Was going to get the iLoom glass until I read it's reviews. I'll be ordering another IQ shield and installing it a little more carefully. Hopefully they add anti-glare and improve feel.

I'll add my endorsement of the IQ Shield. That's what I've ended up using (for now). For a wet-install urethane film, it dries remarkably clear and glossy. It doesn't look and feel 100% like glass, but it's very close. Out of tempered glass, PET film or wet-install urethane-type film, the urethane film would normally be my least favorite, but if you want something to cover all/most of the iPhone 6 (Plus) screen, right now there aren't many other options.

There are some cons though. Performing a good installation is hard. I removed everything (towels, toilet tissue, etc.) from my bathroom, ran an air scrubber for 2 hours before running the shower, cleaning everything off with a dust-destroyer and then doing the install. I still got a couple of small specs of dust under the screen (and they're impossible to get rid of). But they're small and I can live with them for now.

These films have great adhesion to aluminum or plastic, but they really don't want to stick to smooth glass. And they really, really don't want to stick to curved smooth glass. If you use this without a case, the edges and corners will snag every time your phone goes in or out of your pocket. You'll have a couple of days max before the edges start lifting. And once they start lifting, they'll get dust and lint on them and then lift even more :-( I don't think you're likely to have long term success with this screen protector unless you use a case. If you do use a case, I'd recommend very carefully trimming the screen protector with a sharp knife or scissors (before installing), so that you leave a fraction of a mm gap between the edge of the protector and the case. The gap can be small enough that you won't notice it, but without some gap, a case with a lip will almost instantly push up the screen protector at the edges and corners again.

Trimmed, and used with a case to protect the edges, this is so far working out ok for me.

I will be upgrading my 4s to a 6 soon. On my 3 and 4s I've always used a film screen protector as well as an otterbox defender case. I was told when I got my 4S that a gloss film screen protector would not work under the otterbox defender screen. I was told it needed to be anti glare or matte finish. Has anyone here used a screen film as well as an otter box defender on an 6?

i was initially unhappy happy with the Orzly as application on my partners phone wasn't perfect. It appeared to left at the edges. But on mine, it doesn't lift at all. I'm really happy with it. There's a tiny gap between the end of the screen protector and the official apple case, but it's not an issue and I'm particularly fussy.

THe clarity is perfect and its not too thick either. All in all, great protector at a good price.

Hi Everyone,

May be this is not news anymore. But there are are many people still arguing over screen protection for iPhone 6's curved screen. I simply knew that wigh today's technologies, something like a curved glass screen was already done ages ago when screens of our television set was nothing flat, but rouneed. Besides, a lot of glassware had curves. if Apple can make the glass curve then there's a way to make the same curves that will fit the screen. So be patient and wait for it to become more available to the iPhone 6 owners. Or, just search for iloome's glass screen protectors or Moshi curved screen protectors. Many people have already ordered it and you can as well. Othewise, u can wait until Apple starts to feature these products and order from the apple store app. I don't know why Apple can't do a bit more features to show there's already various solutions for the curved screen. But be told! It's out there already.
