Maybe I'm being too cynical, but I think the reason they color the edges is so you can't see it lifting and you can't see the dirt that gets under there ;-)

Either way, it looks like one of the better options so far. Thanks for posting the photos. Do you know how thick the glass is? Is the colored border also glass, or is it plastic?

sufi, thank you for posting the pics! very interesting…

after reading your first post, i had already ordered the nillkin and seeing the result (= your pictures) confirms that choice...

and yes, there might be dust particles collecting underneath the coloured edges but i am tired of the cheap feel of plastic that collects scratches, bubbles and, to some extend, oily fingerprints.

what are we trying to achieve with a screen protector? the protection of the screen. duh. and i believe that none does that better than a decent (and in the long run environment-friendlier?) glass version - even if that collects some dust particles underneath - - - and for 12 US $s with shipping included (!): wow.

p.s.: although i have a white phone, i also ordered 1 black cover. in combination with a case, this might allow for a colour change if & when i want that. (or some b/w effect… :-)) i shall see.

There seems to be this preconception that egde to edge glass screen protectors (like mine) aren't compatible with cases. Just to clarify, my screen protector is in no way interfering with my case, no lifting, no nothing, they go hand in hand with one another. Granted, there is some glue resin on the edges, which is collecting a little dust,(which can only be seen during close inspection) but none has been collected in the earpiece speaker or underneath. I will later on today try and attempt to remove the glue resin by running a cotton bud laced in nail polish remover around the edges. (I will post before and after)

Even if I return to no avail, I'd still prefer a dust collecting protector over one that offers less real estate protection, but I guess that's a matter of opinion.

@csglinux the entire protector is made of glass that is 0.3mm thick.

@mittgenstein no problem! I think you've made a good choice, I had no issues with installation and it comes very well packaged. I'll give it a month before I comment on its effectiveness against scratches but have fun with the colour mixing, you might unearth a brilliant combo! 😉

Thanks for the update SufiD. This looks promising.

Just one polite request for screenprotectors.co.uk. Please stop spamming this thread.

Your screen protectors are no different from any of the other dozens of tempered glass films that fail to cover the whole screen.

It's getting tiresome having you plug that link every 3rd post. As a previous poster said, your behavior doesn't instill confidence to want to do business with you. If any readers of this thread would like to purchase your screen protectors, they've already seen your http address multiple times by now.

hey sufi, after reading your last post i meant to issue a warning re: any acetone (or alcohol etc.) as it will most likely 'leak' and also remove the glue further down underneath the screen protector itself... i am a little late to the party so i am wondering if you ran into problems. if you haven't done this yet, i'd suggest to live with the dust/resin or - in case this is possible - do this type of cleaning with a paper towel and while the glass is not adhering to the iphone.

So I went out on a limb based on recommendations from this forum on what would be good decisions. So I give credit To everyone whos placed their opinions and photographs on this forum. This is my first iPhone. I'm happy with it in comparison to Samsung and their clunky OS. I'm excited I can post in a forum using my phone without killing myself.

Oh yeah so back to why I'm posting, I've puchased some ihome alarm radios so finding a case that worked with th top mount was proving to be a challenge. Then I stumbled across the Pong case. Purpose plus protection with a minimalist wrap around the base. Perfect, and priced right at 50$. I'll let you guys do research on the case.

Having said that, now I needed a tempered glass screen protector. I bought the iloome. I don't think tthe two could have been a better pairing.

Thanks for posting that photo.

I assume that's the tech armor screen protector - I've been considering it

it does seem narrow. Does it cover the display of is it not wide enough to even cover that?

I've previously used spigen screen protectors and have been very happy even though they are more expensive and recently their customer service had been s***/slow so with all these narrow protectors (which I understand) i haven't been able to make a call

however looking at your photo the tech armor may now be out if the running again
