each to their own. You can go with lawrence finch's advice as I went down that path with my 6 plus for a month or so until obit thd billet and decided to go with a glass protector
i can tell you two things a tempered glass protector did for me:
1) saved the screen on my ipad when my 4 year old through it at the cupboard with the screen hitting the corner of the cupboard. cost of that was just repkacing the screen protector. The ipad was fine.
And the best example:
2) when my wife dropped her 5s and slammed the car door on it. The bend on the phone made the 6 plus bendgate look relatively straight. Multiply that bendgate by 3 or 4 and you'll get the idea of the angle of the bend
Her screen protector cracked. The phone bent. The phone had a stress crack on the frame/side of the phone (inside the glass). the apple genius gave us a new 5s with no charge as the glass of the phone had not cracked or broke but just bent (a loophole he said). The cost to me was replacing the screen protector only.
So at the end of the day it's up to you. It's simply a risk/cost weigh up. either way I don't think its a major drama. Whatever suits each person. I was happy , kinda, with a naked 6plus. There's something sexy with s new phone like that. However I'm happy with my screen protector on it now. I still sm careful if the screen but s little more relaxed as there is that simple layer on top now and it feels just as good.
I'll also confirm some advice I got here and that is that once you put a decent protecter on (ie that feels good - for me it has to be glass) you forget it's on. For me, it diesnt visually annoy or grab my attention. The only team I really think of it is if, for example I am holding something else in my hand with my iPhone or putting it in my bag - I do look out for it but I do remember I don't have to be as pedantic as I used to be incase I got a scratch that would bug me .....until I eventually got over it
