How to reinstall System/library/Extensions/Apple USB Ethernet Host.kext

I get a message from system telling me that

/system/Library/Extensions/Apple USB Ethernet Host.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used.Please try reinstalling .

Where do I get the software and how do I proceed?

Got that after last Itunes snowleopard updates.

Please help.

First thing to try is to apply or reapply the 10.6.8 Combo update.

Other than that, you will have to use Pacifist to extract it from the Snow Install DVD

EDIT: long thread on this here, with some possible fixes. Seems to be associated with the iTunes update.

how could you move that to trash? when i want to open that folder, system shows me message: The folder “AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents. 😐 how can i fix this? thanks ... (i already have the latest iTunes update, but my mac still shows me this message)

You're not trying to open the kext file, you want to drag it to the Trash. You will be prompted for your admin password. The when you re-intall iTunes, by using the download from the Apple web site, not by using Software Update, the kext file will be replaced by the iTunes installer.
