Hello

I just brought an iPod Classic

I have installed iTunes

I have the cable

I have the following music folders that are like this

Singer Name

Albums

Basically Folder 1 is a singer name and then inside folder 1 is several sub folders (albums) that contain the music)

How do I put this stuff on my iPod (on I tunes) while maintaining the current structure?

I have a windows pc and Mac book so which ever is easy I guess

Hi there. What you want to do is drag the folders with all your music into itunes. That way all your music will be on your itunes library on mac or pc. Next, you want to connect your device to your pc or mac, wait until is shows up, and then, sync all the albums/songs you want of your choice. That is how you get the music on your ipod. Now, to your actual question. Do you want the folders to show up ON your ipod classic, with the singer name, then sub folders of the artists discography? If so, all you do is go to itunes with your music, then go to where it says "artists" and click and hold on the artists name, and drag it to your ipod which is connected. This will sync all the tracks of your artist to your ipod classic, so that when you go on, what you will see is the artist name, then you click on that, to view all your albums. There aren't really "Folders" like there are on a pc, but you can have a nice layout on ipod. Basically what you wanna do is just sync whatever album or song you want by manually dragging and dropping, and however it turns out on your ipod classic, is what it's supposed to look like. Best of luck, hope this helped, reply back if you need more help.
