HHow to delete unwanted downloads such as the rubbish U2 album
You can swipe across the songs from right to left to bring up a red delete button. that will remove the songs from your iPad Music App. The will still appear in the purchased section of your account, but you can hide them from view if you care to do so, but you have to do it in iTunes on a computer.

HI no this did not remove it from my IPad it did hide it in my purchases the cloud icon is still there and the songs still play I want all traces removed from the ipad. Apple had no right to download it they should have offered it for download.
If you've hidden it then try logging out (tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and back into your account on your iPad and see if it still shows in the Music app.
In terms of permanently deleting it from your account you will need to contact iTunes Support and see if they can/will remove it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and turn off "Music" under "Show All." The cloud icon means it is not on your device, but is available for download.
There is a way to even delete from icloud but you have to enable itunes matches services by paying subscription fees...but for your problem you have to download those songs to itunes then sync your device..after this you ll get orange delete button by swiping right to left...
Hello thank you for your help whenI downloaded the album to ITunes the whole album suddenly disappeared from the IPad now I can delete it from the player just so doesn't come back I think I'll keep it for a while. Thanks to everyone for help.🙂
HI there when I did what you suggested in settings the album was still there and would still play the download from the store to my ITunes did the trick. Thank you
No, you don't have to pay for anything. What a load of rubbish.
Last time I checked iTunes Matches service is not free...and you can't delete this album from iCloud without iTunes Match on , you can just hide it if you are not using iTunes Match...though I don't know if Apple is charging fees for iTune Match everywhere or not but in my country it charges around 20$ per year...
Deleting a song from iTunes Match only deletes songs that DID NOT come from iTunes.
The U2 album came from iTunes, your suggestion is complete nonsense.
Whats with the tone...YOU NEED ITUNES MATCH SUBSCRIPTION TO DELETE THIS ALBUM FROM ICLOUD ...Read it again and try and understand...YOU WONT BE ABLE TO DELETE THIS ALBUM FROM ICLOUD WITHOUT ITUNES MATCH TURNED ON...you can only hide...now why it is so that beyound me...why don't you ask your no1company master and tell me...
