Why will my iphone 6 take 3-4 weeks to deliver?

You'll get it when you get it. Pre-order doesn't guarantee a delivery date. It simply guarantees you'll get one. Based on when your order processed, and based on estimates of production availability, that's what dictates the estimate.

You didn't say which phone you ordered? If you ordered the 6 Plus, they were in VERY limited quantities to begin with. And ordering on launch day, never guarantees delivery on launch day to begin with. It's all subject to the number of devices available at the time of order.

Well, I'm not surprised. Apple had very limited quantities of the 6 Plus from the moment they opened pre-orders. Yours will come in the order the order was received and that's all there really is to it. They can't deliver devices they don't have yet. Had you ordered the 6 instead of the 6 Plus at the time you placed your order, you would in all likelihood be getting it on launch day. It was actually surprising Apple had any 6 Plus available to pre-order. It had been widely published/rumored the 6 Plus would be delayed from the beginning.

It was available at 8 a.m., but you didn't order it until 9 a.m.? And you think you were one of the very first orders? Really?

The answer is really quite simple. Doesn't matter what time you placed your order. By the time you did, Apple and the carriers were already out of stock on the 6 Plus. What part of it was available in limited quantities do you not understand? Again, ordering on pre-order day never guaranteed deliver on launch day. You and countless millions who wanted the 6 Plus will not be getting them on launch day.

There are many who ordered on pre-order day quite early who will not get the 6 Plus now until late October and some into November. I'm sorry you're disappointed, but you're not alone as you're in very good company around the world. How do you expect them to ship something to you they don't have?

Because it wasn't one of the first ones taken. You have no clue as to how many people were waiting to pre-order it. There are people that pre-order multiple devices just to sell them at a profit online. Look on Ebay. There are a lot of people 'selling' their iPhone 6s already, showing their pre-order confirmation.

You'll get it when you get it. Explain why you need to get it first.

Two weeks isn't that long of a delivery date. The reason it will take that long is they are still filling orders from people that placed their order before you did.

First come, first serve. Very simple.

Define "as soon as possible". Did you order it within the hour of release? Did you only order it yesterday?

I Ordered mine at 12:45am Friday and still says 10/12... Hard to believe it sold out that quick!

We'll all see. I ordered mine around 3AM EST and my original ship date was 10/31-11/11. Today I checked and its 10/11-22. So hey, thats better than before. Maybe it will shorten more..
