Hello there vivifrance,
It sounds like you want to remove some applications from your computer. In general you can uninstall applications using the following article:
OS X Mavericks: Install, update, and uninstall apps
Uninstall apps
- To uninstall apps you purchased from the Mac App Store, hold down an app’s icon in Launchpad until all the icons begin to jiggle. Click an app’s delete button (x).
If an icon doesn’t have a delete button, it can’t be uninstalled. For example, apps that come with OS X can’t be uninstalled.
- To uninstall other apps, drag the app to the Trash (located at the end of the Dock), then choose Finder > Empty Trash.
If you change your mind, before emptying the Trash, select the app in the Trash, then choose File > Put Back.
Warning: When you empty the Trash, the app is permanently removed from your Mac. If you have any files that you created with the app, you may not be able to open them.
Some apps like Garageband and its Loops also store files elsewhere that can also take up a lot of space. Here is how to find and delete the Garageband Loops from your computer as well:
GarageBand, Logic: Where loops get installed
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the very best,
Sterling
