How do you know if you're making a wifi call with iOS 8?
I just upgraded my T-Mobile iPhone 5S to iOS 8. I went into Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calls and toggled "Allow Wi-Fi Calls" to the on position. I'm on a wifi network right now, but I have no idea if calls I'm making are being routed via the cellular carrier or via the wifi network.
I saw that in one of the iOS 8 betas that the carrier would appear as "T-Mobile Wifi" rather than just "T-Mobile" as it is now, but I'm not seeing any change; just "T-Mobile". Carrier settings are version 17.0.
When I'm in the U.S., this doesn't really matter much, but when I travel abroad I'll want to be sure that I really am using wifi for calls rather than roaming. Does anyone here have an idea what might be going on here? Maybe T-Mobile needs to push some new carrier settings?
