As has been typical, the iPhone usually comes direct from China, but I have not received confirmation of shipment yet with a 9/19/14 expected delivery date. Has anyone that ordered direct from Apple (not a carrier), received any change of notification yet? Is it possible they shipped to a warehouse in the US to be shipped today/tomorrow?
I ordered mine early Friday AM (like 1:15am PST) and mine is due this Friday. Apple says it's preparing for shipment. It's been in that status for 3 days now. The charge to my credit card has dropped off and I "assume" as soon as it's shipped it will be charged for a final payment. I have no idea if it's coming from China or the USA. At this rate they are going to have to over night it to get it to me (Colorado - USA) in time. First time pre-ordering from Apple so a little unsure if this is "normal."
I would like to know if anyone else has been charged offically for it and sent shipping info. I hope something happens today or later tonight on it being shipped out.
Interesting point. I just verified my phone was officially billed on Tuesday. Also, after I posted this question, I found another thread that indicated you could go to UPS website and track via reference and plug in your phone number (no dashes) and zip code. It provided me a tracking number and indicated label created but no shipping info yet. FYI
