Keyboard shortcut problems in iPhone 5S with iOS 8 update

Doesn't work for me!

Same problem on iPad 3, keyboard shortcut disappeared, Just realised format has changed, no longer complete words on page but on top line of keyboard. Problem solved.

This worked for me. I had a bunch of shortcuts. Thank YOU!

iOS 8.0.1 released this morning, but doesn't fix this bug.

Again, all my keyboard shortcuts were a-okay on Sunday, gone on Monday, back on Tuesday, gone again Wednesday morning, and back Wednesday afternoon.

iOS 8 .. IPad Air .. Keyboard shortcuts random and intermittent. Keyboard very sluggish and LAGGY. Rebooting does NOT help... a temporary iCloud server issue?

For the first time since this issue appeared, my shortcuts have reappeared and are fully functional without intervention. I have not rebooted recently, which always briefly brings them back. Is anyone else seeing this? This would validate that this is a iCloud server issue and not a bug native to iOS. Perhaps iCloud functionality was being scaled slowly, as the transition to iCloud Drive might have put more strain on the servers. Nevertheless, I will report back if they disappear again. This is the first time in a week that this has happened so I am encouraged. So relieved to be able to do this "" on iOS again. 😉

Mine still isn't working. To test, I added two new shortcuts to my Mac.

One appeared on my iPhone, but not the other.

Neither appeared on my iPad.

Then I deleted one shortcut (different from the two above) from my iPhone, and it didn't delete from my Mac or iPad.

Very, very strange (and annoying).

Installed 8.0.2 on my 5S and shortcuts reappeared, only to disappear 10 minutes later.... 😕

I have the same issue and I have compiled a pretty extensive list over the years. Need this fixed asap. It is a time suck for me because I am doing so much research trying to get it fixed. Ugh.

Gone again after working out of nowhere all day on my 5s and iPad mini. Installing 8.0.2 soon but I doubt it will help. This is iCloud related and out of our hands. I might just have to buy Text Expander for iOS and use that instead. Not going to be fun having to do that extensive list of macros all over again. 😐

Yes, my text shortcuts have been stable and functional for about 2 days, now.

I hooked up to iTunes and synced, then did a restart. They are working for the time being, but I am very skeptical they will disappear in the next few minutes. Note: the restart method works for me each time but the shortcuts disappear after a few... Hoping the sync is what did it.

Strangely, 12 hours later, one shortcut has appeared on my iPad now. Still waiting for two others to appear on both iPad and iPhone, and for a delete to appear on my Mac. Could it just be extremely slow iCloud sync?
