Can't forget bluetooth devices in iOS 8 (greyed out)

I upgraded my iPhone 5 and iPad Air to iOS 8.

For both devices I've noticed that they appear twice under paired Bluetooth devices - ie. The iPad appears twice in the iPhone's bluetooth devices list and vice versa. In both cases I can only remove one of the duplicates using the forget this device option under 'I'. The other device has forget... greyed out.

ive tried resetting the network settings but this made no difference.

Does anyone know of a solution?

I have the same issue, Handoff is not working and I have a bluetooth connection to my macbook in which "forget this device" is greyed out. Running Yosemite Beta 3 on the Macbook and IOS 8.02 on an iPhone 6 Plus.

Hi fdelillo

I have the same issue, I'm running IOS 8.02 on my new iPhone 6 Plus but cannot remove my macbook pro bluetooth connection. Also my old iPhone 5S that has been reset still shows up in iCloud settings. I've upgraded to iCloud Drive but how do I view the backups. I see various folders but nothing containing backups - thanks in advance

I've been able to delete my old phone (iPhone 5) from my Bluetooth devices and have Bluetooth pair my new phone (iPhone 6) with the audio system in my car. I'm not certain of the reason but I was having other trouble on my new phone when Google 2-Step Authentication was enabled. When I disabled 2-Step Authentication, the other problems were resolved, and this Bluetooth issue might have been resolved for the same reason.

I have iPhone 5s, IOS8, and iPad Air, IOS8. Both devices were paired to each there the bluetooth. Now can't delete the pairing (forget option is greyed out) and they will not connect. There fore can't use functionality like keynote remote etc. not sure if this is just the IOS as were some issues previously before I upgraded IOS. Definitely need a solution. Apple can you help..............?

I just updated my iPhone 5S & iPhone Air to IOS 8.0.2 and bluetooth is not working on neither. I am having the same problem as everyone else. There were duplicate devices listed. I was able to delete one of them but when I try to delete the second one but the "forget this device" is greyd out and I am unable to delete it. Now none of the bluetooth works. What the **** is going on Apple you are about to loose a lot of customs if you don't get your **** together. This is a joke.
