It has been fixed in iOS 8.1

you can fix the Problem by updating to iOS 8.1

There you have the choice between 2G, 3G and 4G.

please note that IOS 8.1 has been released yesterday.

I'm from INDIA and using Airtel network. I have updated my iPhone 5S to iOS 8.1 but still 3G to 2G toggle missing and issue is not fixed.

iOS 8.1 frustrating me a lot. in Apple history this is bad.

Use a 2G enabled SIM. It will display all the toggles.

I alter the SIMs. Guess what !! The phone with the 2G SIM displayed all the three toggles.

So it is not a problem with the carriers. The problem lies with iOS. I can't understand WHY you people at Apple will decide which network I'm going to use. It is completely monopoly. Dear Apple, I request you to give me my right back ASAP.

II'm running iOS 8.1 and iPhone 6+ ; I have no option to turn off 3G. I just have a 4G switch. This is crap. I have no 3G signal so I want to save battery

I have been facing this issue from very long time. Apple rectified this issue on iOS 8.1 update. All other networks in India except Airtel you can find the toggle switch. That is issue of carrier. Airtel India doesn't support 2G/3G toggle switch on iPhone 5S. Airtel should release carrier settings update to get back the Toggle switch. So its work of Airtel.

Complaining about 2G/3G toggle switch on iPhones with iOS 8.1

It's not an iOS bug, guys. It's definitely because of the carrier's settings. I'm using the iPhone 5s on Airtel over an year now and lost the 2G toggle the day updated my carrier setting. My phone's running iOS 8.1 now and when I'm using any other carrier apart from Airtel, like Idea or BSNL, I'm getting the latest toggle switch which allows you to switch between 2G, 3G and LTE. Check the attached screenshots for proof. So me and my friends tweeted to @airtel_presence using the hashtag #GetBack2gToggleSwitch and they've responded that they'll get back to me tomorrow. I'll let you guys know what they've said and in the meanwhile you too tweet the same, letting them know that this issue is ******* off many users.
