Apple Maps App not working on IOS 8

A couple of weeks after I posted above, it just started working for no reason on my iPad4. Lame software. Lame products.

Same here, tried hard reset and reset from settings, still nothing. If it doesn't work properly in a week I'm going to sell this phone, it's starting to be very annoying. iPhone 6 plus 128 GB vers. 8.1.2

Thank you Paatsy. This resolved by problem. Settings, General, Reset worked.

Maps and Find My Friends didn't work after over the air update. Tried resetting (home + lock) on my iphone 6 three times to no avail.

Resetting all setting fixed my problem (Settings, General, Reset, "reset all settings). Tried to reset just the location and privacy first and it didn't work.

I'm using an iPhone 5 with the latest version of iOS. I've had this problem for over a year now. I've tried soft resets, hard resets, basically everything I could possibly do, and when I'm not connected to a WiFi network any application that uses any form of map (so Maps, Google Maps, even apps to show locations of busses on my college campus) refuses to work. This is probably the most frustrating bug I've ever encountered ever in any circumstance.

Same problem here, but not just the Maps app. it also affects the Find My iPhone app where the devices tracked are clearly shown but the map background is missing. Weirdest thing yet is that this behavior is only on my iPhone 5S. Maps and Find My iPhone under iOS 8 work just fine on my iPad Air.

I just bought iPhone 6 after a gap of 2 years. I remember there was signal drop issue which took quite a while to settle and now this map issue. I have tried all the exercises mentioned but it's not working for me. Any help & suggestions would be appreciated

Get Google Maps App, my iPhone doesn't work either. Google maps always works.

I'm sure that would have been useful advice 2 years ago, when the question was first posted.

I Am now becoming an Apple malcontent. Every time I upgrade to ever more IOS updates things go haywire on my iPhone, my two remaining iPod and my iPhone. My maps not working now. It was my internet connectivity on last iteneration of the iOS. Can't Apple just quit screwing everything up. I guess I will try Android since I now know that Apple is toast!!
