iOS 8 camera roll is missing!!!

The Camera Roll and the Photo Stream have been combined into a single album called "Recently Added". This was done to address the users who did not like having to delete the photos in multiple places, and is undoubtedly a configuration that is staging the full implementation of iCloud Drive (which will replace iPhoto in the months to come).

Hi, all of my fotos are gone. Nowhere to be found anymore. The folder "recently added" contained around 6 fotos..

This is a true nightmare.

I'm really upset by the missing Camera Roll feature as well. It was simple and enjoyable to scroll through. I understand wanting to make things "better" but in not offering an option is terrible.

Apple, please bring the Camera Roll back.

agreed, unnecessaril overcomplicated. Bring it back.

You can still see your photos chronologically in the Photos > Years > Collections settings. The old Camera Roll only showed the order in which they were added to the Camera Roll, not the order in which they were taken. For example, if I saved a picture from an email into my Camera roll that was taken on January 15th, but it was currently March 15th when I did so, then it would be entered into the Camera Roll after my most recent photo.

Just use the Photos > Years > Collections to view your photos chronologically.

This is just stupid ... You would have to tap in and out like a idiot to find the one picture that you are looking for. Why would they do this? Annoys the crap out of me ....

Absolute shocker. I will be reverting back to iOS7 asap.

i am SO mad that the camera roll is gone.. half my pictures are missing and theres only 40 pictures in recently added. THIS HAS GOT TO GO.. THIS IS THE WORST UPDATE. so angry!

Please tell me you did in fact look under "collections" for your photos before making such a ridiculous statement...

No issue here with the camera roll...click the 'Photos' button in the bottom left of the screen to move back to the full view of all your photos. They're now just grouping them to make it easier to find and delete as needed.

All you can do is create a new album and title it "Camera Roll" and then go into collections and add every single photo into camera roll. Very inconvenient and terrible over-complication by Apple. Highly dissapointed...

I completely agree with the majority of posts. Removing the camera roll is just the stupidest move I've ever seen in any Apple update.
