iPhone 5 iOS 8 Bluetooth issues with Audi A1

I am having the same issue with my 2014 VW GLI.

Issues with 2015 BMW 335. Resetting phone doesn't work, resetting settings doesn't work, resetting network doesn't work. Same issues as stated previously...try to make a call and it reverts back to the phone, doesn't hang up the call until I turn the phone off and back on again. To make matters worse, it basically hijacks my Pebble so that it gets stuck on the "call in progress" screen until I hard reset my Pebble. 😟 iPhone 6, so I can't go back to iOS 7.

Same problem here. iOS7 worked just fine with my 2014 VW Jetta Sportswagon's Bluetooth system. Ever since upgrading to iOS8, the phone connects as usual; Bluetooth audio playback works as before, but I can no longer make or receive calls, hands-free.

I can navigate to a phone number in the phones address book. I can dial the number, using the car's steering wheel control buttons, but the phone disconnects from the hands free system as soon as the call goes through. The car system then "hangs" in dialing mode, and everything (phone, car system) has to be restarted/reset before the phone can be reconnected via Bluetooth.

Incoming calls disconnect from the hands free system as soon as I pick up, leaving the car's system "hung" in incoming call mode.

Apple, please fix this!

I have this issue as well.

Calls wont won't route to the speakers. if I dial using the voice command button on the steering wheel it sometimes says cellular service isn't available. Also when the radio thinks the call is disconnected, the call is still going in the phone.

Music plays fine.

Reset network settings didn't work. I'd rather not reset all settings for numerous reasons. Will wait to see if this gets updated.

I'm having the same problems in my 2012 Audi Q5 with my iPhone 5.

Bluetooth was working perfectly with iOS7.

I did a clean install of iOS8 to my phone, no backup or sync... Bluetooth connection is success, but when a call comes, car radio displays my own number(!)and when i answer the call, no audio from car speakers, i can talk from phone but bluetooth connection is still active. And when i try to make a call from the car, it drops as soon as a dial a number,

I tried to "reset network settings" and "re-pair phone" with my radio. it worked as soon as i did those steps, but next day i keep getting the same problems, what i understand is i have to re-pair my phone everytime when i got in my car!

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Please Apple fix it ASAP! It was working perfectly on iOS7 so definetly it must be an issue on iOS8!

I found that 'Reset Network Settings' didn't work but 'Reset All Settings' did. Have you tried this? I don't have to re pair the phone with the car every time, just the once.

Agree that Apple will need to issue a fix for this.

Hello Everybody,

I have exactly the same problem with my new iPhone 6 iOS8 and my car VW Polo V (in France). The Bluetooth system is TPK-Music.

It works well with other phones and with iOS7 iPhones.

But with iOS8, the iPhone connects with the Bluetooth system. However, it is impossible to make or receive a call.

As exposed in previous posts, it is not a vehicle problem, as it works very well with other iOS and phones.

Will it be fixed quickly? I hope so.

Hi I've got a similar issue. Upgraded to ios8 on a 5s and I can play audio fine, but when I make calls the connection is made, the audio cuts out, but I cannot hear anything, nor the person I have called. Same if I get calls coming in. Its wrecked the hands-free. I've got a three week old Range Rover. Think Apple have really dropped the ball here.

Delete the car from the phone, and delete the phone from the car. Then pair the phone to the car. Now it works. I tried yesterday just deleting the phone from the car and this failed - you need to do both.

I tried it several times (to delete both) and it still does not work unfortunately...

Same exact problem as everyone here but with a Jeep Grand Cherokee with UConnect. Is Apple listening? This is a SAFETY issue that could potentially lead to accidents or worse as people are fumbling for their phone since the Hands Free feature does not work. In my opinion this is a huge liability for Apple that their legal department should be concerned about (regardless of what we sign in the Terms and Conditions).

Also - I'm not willing to accept that I have to reset the phone or reset all settings to resolve a Bluetooth issue. That's a band aid to what is obviously a bigger firmware issue. I hope this is resolved quickly with the iOS 8.01 update.
