Thank you to Emmaglet, Sonnto, Azsharom, Jmitch04, Pablo Poch, Pbeaudet and Tonyochs for your replies and input.
Emmaglet, your phone cannot hold 100% charge? care to elaborate?
As I haven't encountered this issue.
Sonnto, thanks for coming back again and sharing your story, what is happening with me is pretty much exactly the same as you; I have also followed all procedures for "fixing" my phone battery without luck.
As for your comment on the Home & Lock Screen being the most usage, mine is exactly the same, showing ridiculously high levels on usage, I haven't had issues with Facebook however, but now I am also not choosing to use it.
Also your comment on your notification tone, I have not come across that.
Azsharom, I agree with your statement about bugs, it seems a few of us have tried the methods recommended without luck, bring on iOS 8.0.1.
It is very lucky hat you didn't upgrade your wife's phone.
Jmitch04, I haven't experienced my phone freezing or not turning back on after a sift reset, did you get a chance to see what might have been causing the battery drain?
I would recommend taking your phone to and Apple Genius Bar if you haven't already, if you can't get it back on at all.
Pablo Poch, well done on your research, I have not seen a normal user go into this much detail and i completely agree that we shouldn't have to, but what you have found may actually be the cause of all our problems; the fact that one of the cores is being used more that the other or completely on it's own is extremely abnormal, the point of our phones have dual cores is to spilt the requirements to come from two sources therefore meaning the phone more efficient and able to withstand more usage from apps and background software.
Looking at it from a computer perspective, I can see this being a huge problem, it's like removing a core from a computer motherboard, running on a single core would limit the abilities of the computer greatly.
I also agree that we will all be waiting on iOS 8.0.1 and hoping it will fix the issues you have have found with the internals of the phone; and as for the iPhone 6 and 6 plus, i have seen online that some users are having the same users as people like us with older handsets.
Pbeaudet, I think we are all hoping Apple will bring out iOS 8.0.1 soon and it will fix all our issues.
Tonyochs, Any particular reason you have mentioned the Galaxy Not 4?
Again thank you all for replying feel free to come back with any other issues and potential improvements, but unfortunately it looks like we're all going to be waiting for iOS 8.0.1, keep your chargers handy, if you can.
