iPad Air, iOS 8 and random reboots with blue screen

I Updated my iPad Air 16gb wifi model with iOS 8 yesterday and since then I am facing random reboots with blue screens. Is this a known issue or am I in trouble ?

Having the same issue on my Ipad Air. After talking to apple tech support and resetting my ipad with no success, I took it into the apple store. They told me that it was happening because of a hardware issue and that my mother board was dying. They said there is no solution for the problem and that I would need to buy a new one and if I gave them my current one they would put $100 towards the new one. Haven't had this device for a full 2 years yet but didn't purchase the icare coverage so of course it's out of warranty and i'm just stuck with a paper weight. What a load of b.s. This should not be allowed for any company especially one of this size. I bought this device for a Christmas present for my wife and she literally just uses it to watch Netflix and Hulu, so no strenuous use. Yet they try to make you feel bad for not purchasing the icare coverage. I'm sorry that I expect for a reputable company like apple to make a device that would function for more than 1 year and a half, especially for the money I spent for this thing. I hope this leads to some type of class action lawsuit. I'm so agitated.

the same happened to me. ipad air bought in nov '13 now it's totally unusable, after months of reboots, blue screen and graphics issues. at the apple store they blame me for not having extended the warranty and offered me 100euros as a discount for a new one. 1 year and a half ago I paid 929 euros (850 + 69 for the leather cover) and now it's a 100 euros brick. this is unacceptable

hey

I had the same problem on my iPad air of blue screen crash. From the threads above it seems that the A7 chip device like iPad & iPhone 5s are affected equally. The blue screen crash random restart started last week. To begin with, it only attacked when running apps like clash of clans, though, it started to crash every 5-10 mins under the simple tasks like safari or mail. I've tried DFU restore but in vain, and it just kept crashing. I've googled it, it seemed to cause by internal memory error of the device, which can't be simply fixed by software update or restore. After contacting the authorized apple care in Taiwan, I got a refurbished iPad air and restore from iCloud, everything is fine, no more crash. Thanks to apple care which give me additional 1 year guarantee to cope with this annoying problem. To sum up, this blue screen crash is caused by internal memory error which could only be fixed by replacing the devices.

Then reset dont to nothing i use DFU restore, but this shows me errors most of the time. Then i do reset again hopeing to see white background. The it boots up, everyting works ok like it was nothing. It crashes even if i dont use it like next morning.

Same thing as all of you, using apps that require a little more power, or are more intense. A possible reason for this is that the iPad is too hot. The effect is noticeable now during the summer, for example, outside I cant even get into the iPad, but go inside and it works like a charm, (sometimes). Also, with a little research, this may also be a charger problem, meaning that you should use an iPad charger only, considering that it supplies a higher current than the iPhone chargers, creating a small difference.

Question: On some of your re-boots will the blue screen pop back up and re-boot the iPad again?

An iPad 1st gen is more useful than this iPad Air 2. Apple is ether not spilling the beans as to why this affects us, or just have no clue?

Let me know if you have an answer to my question up there. Thanks Everyone!
