On The Music Path APP problem

After upgrading to iOS8, this delightful music app has become a Zombie! It is neither alive nor dead, in that it cannot be downloaded, nor can it be deleted. I have tried backing up 'without apps' and restoring--didn't work--and deleting the app from iTunes--didn't work either. Of course I first tried the 'wiggle delete' on my iPad.

Now there is the Zombie: it has no name, but retains the ghost image of the 'onthepath' app. Other than a complete wipe and reinstall, any ideas?
