My kindle won't open on my Mac OSX 10.9.5

you can still read it from cloudreader

you have to login at amazon to get to it

I just downloaded the new version of Kindle for Mac and it works.

they have a rigmarole protocol that has to send the download link to your email or phone

and then you open the download from there.

Then you install from the downloaded dmg.
