Me either. AirPrint was working fine before the IOS 8 upgrade, now I can't print to any of the 3 printers that used to work.

You're right, underneath I'm hopping mad. I have 8.0.2 but it doesn't make any difference: 8.0.2 was an emergency upgrade for all those poor unfortunates with iPhone 6's that were blocked by update 8.0.1... I'm sure that niggles with AirPrint weren't even on the discussion table during their overnight coffee-fueled scramble to correct it to get iPhone 6's working. One thing that makes me really mad is that they ought to be more pragmatic and make it possible to downgrade to iOS 7, but instead they threaten us with warranty clauses - it's all quite pathetic really. They don't want to have a policy of downgrading because in doing so they'll lose another $20 billion of their share price. This is not just Apple but the modern world: show weakness and you lose out - so better to pull the iOS 7 AirPrint compatible printers from the list and blame the manufacturers for not providing firmware updates than admit iOS 8 is anything other than fantastic and flawless (...except for the 8.0.1 version). It's this sort of dishonest hype that caused the banking crisis - when is our world going to amend the MBA textbooks to let in a bit of realism and pragmatism?? Sorry, getting way too philosophical....

I'm having the same difficulties as everyone else here. You reminded me that I bought handyPrint a while back for an old printer so set it up and it works brilliantly to give me back AirPrint for my Samsung Laser.

However, I did notice that initially it didn't work as I'd added my Samsung Laser to my Mac as an AirPrint printer, not using the manufacturers drivers (hope that makes sense) which always worked on Mavericks but has stopped working since the 10.9.5 update came out.

So iOS 8, Mavericks 10.9.5 and most likely Yosemite 10.10 are breaking AirPrint?

Tried this... thanks for the tip, but after the reset the Samsung printer still scrambles the pages when using AirPrint. It needs an iOS 8 fix. Any company competitive to Apple that is realistic and can guarantee me an operating system downgrade as well as an update will win my heart (and so the business). I don't think one exists at the moment.

One of the users in another post mentions resetting the network settings on the iOS device. I tried many things on the printer itself and nothing was working. I eventually found an article about iOS 7 breaking airprint as well. Anyway, i just went in and chose "forget this network" on my connected wifi and then reconnected then the printer showed up on my iPhone. Maybe this will work for you as well.

I've spoken with Apple on this and they will not do anything: they've put the onus on the printer manufacturers to jump through the necessary hoops to solve the issues. Apple claim they are not even responsible for the list of AirPrint-compatible printers on their own website: in short, there is no way to be sure of which printer will work with AirPrint at all any more. Pretty terrible for what is supposed to be one of the leaders in their industry.

I spoke again with both Apple & Samsung this evening. Even with a major release like iOS8, Apple have had no dialogue with the printer manufacturers, who are left to work out what changes have been made to AirPrint and figure out a fix. This is not only arrogant of Apple beyond belief, but also it is just not an effective way of ensuring a smooth launch of a new OS. It is clear to me that Apple cannot be trusted to come up with robust solutions moving forward if this attitude continues, namely that they make any changes they want and third parties then have to jump through hoops to work out what the changes are and act upon them. Then on top of that you have their attitude towards their own website - it's the printer manufacturers who have compiled the list of AirPrint compatible printers and they are not responsible for what it includes - which I translate as meaning that anything stated on the Apple site regarding technical advice & specifications cannot be relied upon. I told Apple this evening that their mindset is not conducive with the use of their products in a business environment, and I will be changing platforms.

I have reset my network settings after updating to 8.0.2. It did not help.

When I send a print request, my Samsung Xpress printer IS recognized, busy light blinks, Wi-Fi light goes out, and basically, the lights go on and off, as the printer tries to reestablish a connection, and process the request. Can't print anything from the iPhone, and now, even having trouble printing from the Samsung Printer app itself. My printer works just fine with my MBP.

My next step is to try deleting the printer settings on my MBP, and getting it to re-sync with my wifi again, and see if that does anything.

My other gripe with iOS 8 is my phone can't seem to stay connected to my home wifi anymore. Always losing connection. Very problematic if I don't want to run over my data allowances.

IOS 8 worked for me with Air, 5S but IOS 8.02 won't print from an Ipad Three, Air, two 5S with an HP 3511/series 3510 in native apps like mail, photos, nor in third party like Noteability and won't work with Readdles Printer Pro app. Printing is a big deal and worked so well in IOS 7 and earlier firmwares. Hard not to be peeved, but I'm an old old Windows person so know about "issues".
