Me either. AirPrint was working fine before the IOS 8 upgrade, now I can't print to any of the 3 printers that used to work.

Sorry as I am a bit of a newbie, but Air Print was working perfectly for some time. Recently we noticed that while all our devices (Iphone 4s, 5s & Ipad3) recognized our HP OJ 6600, nothing would progress once job was submitted and subsequently time out. HP e-print works perfectly.

In addition, all the pc's in the house print wirelessly.

I even removed the printer files and reinstalled.

Thanks for any assistance.

The printer updates won't help with IOS, those are CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) driver updates for OSX. The AirPrint problems either can be resolved with firmware updates of the printer (apparently Samsung seems to be already aware of the problem and is working on a solution) or by Apple themselves with an IOS update.

As so many others in this thread I also have encountered problems with Airprint.

After installing IOS 8.0.2 my IPad Retina cannot find my HP 6530 ALL-IN-ONE printer.

WIth the previous IOS 7 and earlier versions I had no problems.

I can print to it over WiFi with my Wkndows 7 laptop.

Conclusion: Apple has made a change to Airprint and should now quickly issue a correction to it.

To claim that the protocol is proprietory is not a solution. Apple has released it to printer manufacturers and should support it. Otherwise no tbird-party vendor can rely on Apple and then they will stop supporting it.

So instead of taking steps to solve the problems with iOS 8, Apple has chosen the route of making downgrading impossible. Gotta love Apple's "we don't care what you want to do with our devices; you're going to do what we want you to with them” attitude.

A quote: "UPDATE, 29th September: Apple has now stopped 'signing' or authorising iOS 7. This means the method of downgrading from iOS 8 back to iOS 7 listed below no longer works. We will update this article if we discover a new method that will let you reinstall iOS 7, but in the mean time the safest bet is to assume that updating your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8 is an irreversible process. Make sure you are absolutely certain you want to upgrade to iOS 8 before doing so."

Great usage of their time. Perhaps this issue could be resolved if they spent a little more of their resources patching their software and a little less effort on their Gestapo policies.

<Link Edited By Host> Really? I can't link to an article on a site called "macworld"? Gestapo forums for a Gestapo company. Anyway, just Google "downgrade to ios 7" if you want to see some articles on the topic.
