"This app is no longer shared with you" message in Family Sharing

My daughter installed Minecraft PE through Family Sharing. When she tries to open it, she gets a warning message "This app is no longer shared with you. To use it, you must buy it from the App Store."

When she views it in the app store, it tells her she can download it for free because a family member has already purchased it. So she downloads it, and the cycle continues.

Any idea how to exit this loop?

Spending 5 hours with Apple support didn't solve the issue. However, I accidentally stumbled upon the solution to this problem.

I assume you probably bought additional space on the cloud? For the other family member, you will need to also purchase additional space. Once you purchase additional space with their apple ID, all the apps will work.

My wife is now a happy camper as she has her apps back 🙂

I had the same issue with a shared app saying it was no longer shared. I did basically the same thing:

1. Deleted the App from my phone.

2. Went to iTunes & App Store in settings

3. Signed out of my iTunes account and logged in with the "organizer" (person who bought and shared the app) Apple ID.

4. Went to the App Store on my phone and downloaded the shared App again.

5. Went back to iTunes & App Store in settings and signed back in with my Apple ID.

Now the shared app works again. I hope Apple finds a better solution soon, but this worked for me.
