Dictation not working in Pages in iOS 8

After upgrading to iOS 8 on my iPad, dictation stopped working in Pages. When I press the microphone key, the whole keyboard goes blank. Nothing happens.

Any ideas?

There is a work-around! Just got off the phone with a Tech, and he said that there is a work-around that seems to do the trick, until they get around to fixing the bug.

Apparently, you have to hit the RETURN key before hitting the mic button. You have to go back in afterwards, and clean up the extra RETURNS you've had to insert to keep it going.

I have this too I don't think it's a Siri problem as I'm in a wifi network connected to fiber broadband.. The only fix that works is to create a new document dictation always works then which is of course useless. Sometimes holding the button down works sometimes keeping your finger pressed down where the button was and speaking works. C'mon Apple fix this!

It worked! Thank you. I talked with 2 Apple folks yesterday and neither was aware of the problem, and being a brand new iPhone user I was ready to throw in the towel and get Samsung since this is an important feature for me. So if your siri is turned on and your internet connection is good, be sure to try the return key and give Apple a call so they FIX it.
