iOS 8.0.2 doesn't fix the wifi sync issue. More likely, the hard reboot caused by the upgrade process is a temporary fix that eventually falls apart. Still waiting on a fix.

My iPhone 6 has been showing up in iTunes since I updated to 8.0.2 this morning. But I've gone 24+ hours previously and then seen it just disappear from iTunes.

I'll see what happens tomorrow, but I'm inclined to suspect that you're right. Whenever you see dozens of different "solutions" to a problem, some with multiple steps, and they all end with "restart your iPhone," I suspect the restart is the real, but temporary, solution.

I hope everyone who's experienced this minor annoyance has submitted feedback to Apple in some official way. I've used Feedback Assistant in Yosemite beta, and will do so again tomorrow if my iPhone falls off of iTunes' list.

Well, this is just weird. I gave up on getting wifi sync to work so plugged my iPhone 6 into my computer to sync it -- and my computer suddenly had no memory of it. And the backup I had on my computer was gone, so I synced it as if it were a brand new device and after that the wifi sync worked (for now). I updated my MacBook OS to Mavericks last night which shouldn't have made it forget my phone but that's the only thing I can think of affecting it.

I've seen no evidence that any of the many suggestions fixes the issue. I suspect it's just restarting the iPhone or iPad that temporarily brings WiFi sync back.

Anyone seen WiFi sync with iOS 8-8.0.2 coming back for more than 24 hours?

Note that you have to actually attempt to sync to test this. Just seeing the iPhone or iPad listed in iTunes does not tell you anything. Frequently, I've seen my iPhone listed, but when I click sync, it disappears, sometimes with a warning, sometimes without.
