iOS 8 Auto Reply and Exchange 2010

I just tested with a user on an iPhone 6. I am using an iPhone 5. Works the same on both, just internal. I will check my Exchange patch level

Ours: iPhone 5S, 8.0.2, Exchange 2007 SP3 - internal and external turned on but text not changed on external.

We have have the same issue here. Works fine internally, but externally it serves no real purpose except to show I'm not on the ball. Surely this is supposed to work externally. I'm not sure how this could be overlooked.

Device model does not seem to offer any differences in terms of functionality. (iPhone 5, 5s, 6).

I've just got back into the office and have been informed by external clients that my auto responder is out of date. My internal colleagues confirm they received the correct responder. I created the responder on iOS8 on my iPhone 5.

I wonder if you never entered an external message in the past it then defaults to the mobile responder that is set?

It seems I will have to download the outlook web app to set auto responders using my phone.

Didn't work for me either. Tested on iPad and iPhone, both on 8.0.2. We're on Exchange 2010.

How sad that such a great feature isn't functioning to the full extent. One can only hope iOS 8.1 will fix this.

With both my iPad and iPhone on 8.1 the Automatic Reply menu is now missing on the iPhone. I haven't tried to remove and add the Exchange account yet.

iPhone 6 Plus on 8.1 and the auto reply feature is no longer there.

I just tried this again. It still works for me on my Iphone 6. On 8.1. The option is still there. Still works. I wonder if it depends on your exchange version. Im not a tech guru, but we use webmail at my office to log into exchange server.

****Update**** Tried again internal and external. The Internal is updating the date. The external is not, but I do get a reply either way.

****Update 2**** Just tried it again. I updated the information of when I would be out off the office and now it doesnt work for external. Internal does turn on, but now it doesnt update the day I will be back in the office. Hrm.

Tried it a 3rd time. I guess its broke for me now too. Only internal gets the message and I cant update the date.

When it did work for you, had you set different messages for internal and external?

I had this same issue, but iOS8.1.1 seems to have fixed it. At least with my office's exchange server, when I turn on autoreply through the iOS8 Mail settings app in 8.1.1, it has one option for the text, but that reply text then seems to get sent to both internal and external senders,

Hopefully other people have the same experience. I suppose it's possible our IT folks made some backend change.

I also have the issue where iOS only sets the internal Automatic Reply policy. I'm on iPhone 5S with iOS 8.1.2 using Exchange 365. Is there an ETA when this feature will be fixed in iOS?

Same issue here, it works randomly but most often than not it only controls replies to my internal group and does not switch on external ones. I have the impression that it depends whether the 2 messages are the same or not.
