IOS 8 Home button bug

Same problem here. I haven't been able to resolve it. I'm thinking of doing a reset and restore of my phone this weekend.

YES! This is happening to me and I'm so thankful I'm not the only one!!! Right now I'm using "assistive touch" cause nothing else is working. SO annoying!

Check and make your choice.

Settings > General > Accessibility > Home-click Speed > Default/Slow/Slowest.

Already tried changing this setting. It does not help.

I have made my choice already in iOS 7, so I don't see the need to change this now.

But I have tried all tree settings in iOS 8 and the bug is still there - this doesn't seem to be the solution.

I have tried resetting my phone. It did not help. I have not done a restore of the phone yet. I've seen others have, and they report that it does not affect the home button behavior.

Don't know what to say.

I 've updated iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s and the iPad 3rd generation, no issue with the Home button.

These are the basic 4Rs basic troubleshooting steps:

If no joy, make an appointment with the Apple genius for an evaluation.

I have friends who have updated all their devices also with no one having that problem. Yet some of us are. Hoping apple addresses this issue.

Many millions do not have this problem so I don't think it's a bug otherwise I would have it too, Try the 4Rs in my previous post

Many millions are not having problems with battery drainage on their iPhone 5 but Apple started a battery replacement program.

So yeah, it is a bug!
