iPad Air WiFi (5GHz) issues after iOS 8 upgrade

Thanks, but this didn't work for me after a few minutes. Does anyone know how non-developers can report bugs to Apple? I read where they have an IOS 8 "War Room" for monitoring bugs.

Same issue on both my Air and Mini.

I tried to update to iOS8 5s, but failed. Anyone can help or have the same problem?

Problem is only on 5.0 ghz. Mine works ok on 2.4 ghz band. But, this is suboptimal as there is more interference in the neighborhood and there is much less bandwidth.

I have Neatgear r7000. Exactly same. iPhone 6 works fine on 5.0 ghz, as does Mac Mini, MacBook Air and Windows 7. IPad Air only works consistently on 2.4ghz.

8.0.2 seems to have fixed this issue.

Well, DON'T. I really regretted updating mine. My wifi is nonexistent most of the day.

I thought the same thing but I was wrong. My iPad Air started doing it again on 5 GHz.

8.0.2 update is out and corrects this issue.

Didn't fix the 5G problem for me either. Still will not connect to 5G

I have the Asus RT-AC68R which uses the same chipset as the R7000. It is disappointing that this issue arose when things were just fine in 7.x. I tried turning off implicit beam forming but it had no effect. This is definitely an iPad driver issue.

Download new software update 8.0.2 that should help. Bsydd uk

Do a reset, holding down power button + home button until apple appears. I'm on 8.0.2 since 5:45pm last night and this issue is no longer happening after reset.

Failed to mention that WPA2 security is already being used on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks, and that the SSID's are different.

AAll good things must come to an end. IPad now not working at all on 5.0ghz. Just like prior to installing 8.0.2. I'm on 2.4 ghz.
