ios 8 battery drain issue and Bluetooth issues

My battery drains very fast (100% to zero in about 4 hours with minimal usage), started happening right after I upgraded to iOS 8. Issue started happening both on my iPhone 5S and on my iPad Air after iOS 8 upgrade.

I am also having bluetooth issues on my iPhone 5S, the bluetooth sync in my car behaves very weirdly after I link it up with my phone. It tries to call one of my contacts and then hangs up. It goes in this loop for ever.

Can someone help ??

Man this is such a pain, my wife was complaining that her battery was draining fast. Little did I realize that she had upgraded and I had not. The moment I upgraded my phone I'm in the same boat.

I did not realize its such a big issue, I would have not upgraded.

Hope Apple is working furiously to resolve this issue. We are an apple devices family... 😠

apple are you listening? apple support put a new battery in my 5 saying that was problem, result, the broke the logic board and gave me a new phone. I was hoping this would solve my drain problems, well it didn't. I contacted customer service and they told me to take my phone back to service and have it checked out, well it checked ok and they sent me on my way.

I own 3 iphones. 2 Ipads, and all have severe battery drain problems since ios 8, 8.1, 8.2. Own up to the problem, IT IS NOT HARDWARE AS YOU WELL KNOW.

My iphone 5s (64GB) drain fast. Turn off numerous settings I find on the internet wont help too.

So i sent to check at my mobile provider in which they said battery have no problem and send the same phone back. They also restore the iPhone and set it anew. But the battery drain still here. last night at 23.40 (battery is 74%) and in the morning at 6.21 (battery is 0% phone is dead) without usage (only in sleep mode). I am going to send the iPhone to apple again.

Got a new iPhone 5s as company phone two weeks ago and was perfectly fine with iOS7.

Installed iOS 8.1 on it lately and now have random battery draining issues.

The battery just runs out completely within a couple of hours, without the phone being used at all and without apps running in background.

The phone feels quite warm, when this happens. Looks like some part of iOS8.x is locked up in an infinite loop and keeps burning CPU cycles.

I can stop this effect by shutting down and restarting the phone. I could not figure out yet, when and why the draining starts.

If Apple does not stop this before December 15, I will give back the iPhone.

I have the same issue. Had a iPhone 5s...new in November. Not sure when but in April time the phone started heating up and dying quickly. So in October we got a new phone from apple after doing diagnostics returning nothing and me trying all the same stuff that everyone has tried.

Then we got the refurbished or whatever phone and it was perfect for a couple months. I think I updated the iOS ...not realizing it was going to send this new phone into this crazy state. I've turned my phone on airplane mode nothing installed it'll last maybe 8hrs on standby. Usage is about 4 hrs at most. So I'm hopefully getting a new phone non contract and hopefully selling this piece of crap on eBay.
