Sep 19, 2014 5:54 PM in response to smellslikefriesby shimax21,I also confirmed the problem, too.
http://www.broadband-xp.com/test/ios/hello_open_password.pdf
is the example.
The open password is 1234.
Safari in iOS8 does not show the password input form or anything for the PDFs protected with open password.
Safari in iOS7 does not have any problem at all.

Sep 22, 2014 5:31 AM in response to shimax21by smellslikefries,More problems in opening a PDF in Safari from the web:
1) No password prompt if password protected (as discussed above)
2) No ability to use pinch gestures to zoom in to the PDF
3) No ability to click on PDF links
Its as if Safari no longer renders PDFs at all and only shows a static image of each page. This is very difficult to use!

Sep 22, 2014 6:16 AM in response to smellslikefriesby shimax21,Oh! Actually PDF links does not work on iOS 8.0 Safari.
http://www.broadband-xp.com/test/ios/link.pdf
is the example. If you click "Click Me!" test with Safari on iOS 7, you will be redirected to Apple.com.
But if you click the same text with Safari on iOS 8.0, nothing happens.

Nov 12, 2014 12:45 AM in response to SuperSpeby shimax21,Yes, the upgrade to 8.1 does not solve the problem.
Does any of you try OS 8.1.1 beta's Safari?
I am curious if the problem is solved in OS 8.1.1.

May 14, 2015 11:48 PM in response to shimax21by SuperSpe,the problem's still here!
Even on a brand new iphone6 with ios 8.3. The only way to "resolve" this problem right now is to use Gmail App instead of Apple Mail.
Can anyone provide an answer,please?
