iOS 8 Safari webpage photo upload problem

I have an iPad (3rd generation) that I use to upload photos to a web app through a standard form field (file attachment upload). After upgrading iOS 8, the upload hangs and eventually times out. With iOS 7 I could click on the form field button and it would ask to open the camera roll, then I would upload the photo with no problem. With iOS 8, everything is the same until I choose the photo for upload - It stalls and times out. I've seen some other threads with people having problems uploading photos to Facebook (through the their web app). Has anyone had this problem and found a work around?

HORAY for Puffin. Finally, it managed to load one photo without crashing. It's the only browser to do so since the update. It was only one & should have been more but its a start. I may hold off the downgrade awhile longer. I read the downgrades only going to be available for a short time. Is that true true does anyone know? I'm worried Puffin may fail again, it did at first.

II've only just used it toda so can't comment on its pros or cons. At first it didnt work, twice I tried & other browsers, none worked. Thought I'd give them all another go the next day, same until I got to Puffin. It uploaded a photo:) i cant seem to copy and paste on it, but if i only use it for photos for now, at least it Can be done.
