Iphone 6 ring/silent switch not working

You need to take it to Apple.

I suggest going to the beginning of this thread and start reading. Quite a few people have fixed this issue easily, and they've all explained how they did it.

Do you carry in your pocket? I do and it seems to get mucked up

with lint. I clean using canned air, working the switch and blowing

the heck outta it. Finally the switch cleat's able to settle in each

position and stay there - but a couple of month later it's due for

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or at your local Authorized Apple Service Provider and see what options they can offer you. Apple Stores will generally offer you an out-of-warranty replacement at about half the cost of a new phone.

I have the same issue!!! It drives me nuts because people always call or text me and I miss it because my phone switch is stuck on silent. Is there a way to fix this?? I have an iPhone 6s. It acts like it moves, but it stays silent. Media sounds still work, but the ringtone doesn't, even with the sound up all the way. :/

I had the exact same issue, except the ringer was stuck on. All I did was take an earring (pins work too) and scraped the inside of where it wouldn't close. Turns out it had a bit of dirt stuck in it, works find now. Hope this helped!!

even i was facing the same problem ...i was unabhle to flip the switch to silent mode ...but there was a very little stone or glasslike something stuck in there ...i removed it and now it's perfect....

iPhone 6s 64 Gigs and switch is useless and turned it on in settings and no change. I also have an Iwatch and that’s the one ringing I hear when Watch is connected to Bluetooth. Also battery is terrible, and with BT connection it’s like 100% to single digits in 30-45mins

Been told by Apple roady that once the newer one comes out yours has been paid for. And it’s time for a new IPhone. I love IPhones yet from what I’ve heard supporting the facts, that will only lloose the most devoted Apple products purchasers. Hey maybe at 39 I’m not the targeted purchaser so only the future will tell.

I have a very similar issue. The switch on my iPhone 6 is hard to get into silent mode. I can get it there, but it seems like it's just barely holding on and will flick back to ring mode very easily.

I have the same issue. When i flip it to volume, it flips right back, and I can't turn it off silent. The button is crooked and the screen feels loose as well.

just unboxed. exact same issue. stuck in silent, won't stay in ring mode; springs back down to silent mode.
