iTune Store download stopped (err=8003, -3259, etc.)

Since upgrading to vers. 7 I have troubles downloading TV Shows (f.e. Prison Break Season1) for which I payed for.
The downloads are starting but stopped suddenly with above mentioned error messages. Very annoying also as some of the downloads pursue to about 95%, stop and are restarting from 0% again!
Are there any known problems with the server or can someone please explain possible troubleshooting?

Thanks, Axel

PS: I might add that the Software Upgrade from QuickTime Pro 7.0.2 to 7.1.3 - for which I bought the upgrade - is also not working (although I doubt that has anything to do with the iTune Store Server)

It has been two (2) weeks since I started this post concerning my troubles with downloading TV-shows from ITMS.
Besides two standard-reply emails from Apple I have neither received any information or statement which would explain the source of this problems nor helpful directions on how to solve it:

- the list of the downloads is incongruent in regards of the shows content
- during or after downloading the show mentioned error messages appear
- the downloads cache is emptied
- after checking for purchased music the download starts from beginning

As I have no troubles downloading music, music videos, podcasts, games or audiobooks it seems to be an TV-show related issue only. Is this correct?
I urge the responsible personal to please make a statement on this issue.

October 11th reply from ITMS:

"... I have determined that the error is being caused by a source other than the iTunes Store.

Because of this, I believe that this issue is beyond the scope of support for the iTunes Store customer support team. Please call Apple technical support..."

How pathetic! Thank you a lot for "believing"...

PS: Did anyone else get a satisfactory response?

I sent this to Apple yesterday:

I have emailed about this before but have not got a satisfactory answer. I keep getting error 8003 and 9006 when downloading tv episodes, and my downloads start from the beginning again and do not resume from where they are up to. I am running Mac OS 10.4, no firewall software and my Download folder is visible (and the download is visible as a temp file with the size matching the amount downloaded, while downloading) but as soon as I get the error the temp file and the Download directory in my Itunes music folder gets removed. I consistently get to over 90% of the download but can't get the completion except occasionally. It takes about ten tries to get each show. I would use a third party download manager if you could tell me the url structure for the downloading files. I am very frustrated as this seems to be a very common problem on the discussion forums but apple seems to be silent on the issue. The resume function seems to be at fault here. I wouldn't mind the errors if the downloads started from where they were up to and not at zero again.

I got this reply today:

I understand that you are receiving error 8003 and 9006 when downloading from the iTunes Store.

Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available.

Thank you for your patience. Apple wants your iTunes experience to be as enjoyable as possible.

I take it from this reply that they might realise that they have a fault at their end.....hope so?

I had a persistent -3259 error with a file. It seems like the only way to take care of this is to email Apple several times. Eventually, I was asked (by Apple) to send my billing address and to give permission to reset my password. I guess this is what fixed the problem, as the song eventually downloaded.

I'm not going to download any more files from Apple until some kind of iTunes update is posted.
