iPhone 6 Plus doesn't switch to landscape mode on the home screen

my new iPhone 6+ will not switch to landscape mode when turned horizontally in the homepage. Any thoughts about why this is? It will inindividual apps, but just not on the home page. And no, my screen orientation is not locked in portrait mode. Is anyone else having similar problems or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

so, I've read through this entire post and tried the changing from Zoon to Standard trick several times, even included a soft and hard restart but to no avail. My iPhone 6 (with iOS 8.3) still is not showing the home screen in landscape mode. Is there some super secret fix for this or something I have to wait til the next iOS update?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Same here on new 6S.. rotation lock is off, if switched on and back off as well to check if a preference problem

The Display settings are in standard, ive switched to zoomed and back to check if a preference problem

Ive upgraded from a 5 so I also restored as NEW, and it still has same problems.. nothing is fixing the rotation, nothing is giving me any of these features... My 5 was more solid... My 6S is on iOS 9.0.2 (just installed the update today, thought it might fix this and many other bugs.. nope), have no idea why people are talking about iOS 8, when the phone comes shipped with 9..

I've since been to my local Apple Store who as usual were extremely helpful. They hadn't heard of it happening before but suggested I reset all settings, done through Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings... and it worked! Its a bit annoying having to do all the settings again, especially as I've got the watch too, but at least it doesn't clear all your apps, music and data. I have had a recurrence once, just after doing the IOS 9.0.2 upgrade but this fix worked again and my 6s Plus has behaved as it should since with a quick response portrait/landscape flip on the home screen. It is obviously a bug and hopefully will be addressed in a future iOS tweak. I think it might be too late for iOS 9.1 as that's now at beta 3 and very close to release but you never know!?

Hope the fix works for others too...
