Anyone one else notice this? When on silent mode my phone will randomly vibrate.

This happens 3-5 times today already.

Any suggestions or does apple need to come up with a bug fix?

Thanks,

That's funny because I do have this game on my phone. And I noticed when I switched to ios8, they had a setting in at "do not unclude" but use sound only. Turninf that off solved my phantom tri tone but I was still getting phantom vibrates. my phone vibrates when I get a an email thats filtered out of the inbox but into a label. I described this in an earlier reply.

I have found this to be my problem I original posted about. But mine is Boom Beach (same developer) Was located in the do not included list, but had sounds only turned on. Heres the problem, I have turned it off repeatedly and it keeps turning the sounds back on. Even in the do not include list, it turns itself back on. So you will most likley find it works temporaly and then you will noticed it has turned back on agian.

Problem with the developer or apple? Is the developer by passing the rules?

This thread solved it for me.

Interestingly, the problem did not occur as a result of installing ios8, but rather - it occured only after I "reset all settings" having been using ios8 for a week now.

The culprit was indeed the 'Mail' app having notification settings in the "DO NOT INCLUDE" section with everything disabled "except" for the 'ding' notification sound.

Disabling notifications for that app resolved my problem.

ios8 is still pretty weak on an iPhone 4S though.

Hmm. Actually, I thought I had solved it.

But in the last 24 hours, the phantom alert notification has returned. Only this time, there are *no* apps set to alert without the notification centre display.

So, in short.. this seems to still be a problem. It is not limited to my previous description.

I had the exact same issue on my iPhone 5 and the 6. I went to notifications and turned off the sound for ones included in the notification center and then, this is where I found the problem, went to the ones under "Do Not Include" and went through every apps settings and found that some were still set to notify with sounds so I turned those off and made sure the "allow notifications" were turned off and I haven't had any sounds since, and that was 2 weeks ago I did that. Hope this helps.

I also have this issue with my iPhone 6. After reading through these forums, I guess it's all about iOs 8. None of these bugs ever appeared under iOS 7, but since the launch of iOs 8, iPhone can't connect to WIFI, cannot establish any bluetooth connection, looses 100% battery power in less than 4 hours and so on ... I have no idea what these guys in Cupertino did, but it was, let me say this politely, a bad job. A REAL bad job. I mean, even their workers in China who build the iPhones did a much better job than these guys, and they probably earn way less money than those dudes in 'merica. So: shame on you, shame on all you programers of iOs 8 over there in Cupertino!
