You can revert back. I did it on all my devices.

Here you go. I rolled my Air, Mini and iPhone 5 back to 7.1.2 and all are back normal.

Follow directions carefully and note that this is only available for a while. Apple will stop signing the file eventually. Hopefully this will get you back to work until ios 8 is fixed.

Helpful guide 🙂

Now I have on my 5S iOS 8.1. And I still can't switch my phone to 2G. It's very, very bad. What the problem with this base function of the phone?

On iphone 6 and the same operator I can do this, but 5S - no!!!

iPhone 6 has LTE band for my mobile operator and switch between 2G/3G/LTE. iPhone 5S does not support the LTE band of my mobile operator and I can only switch LTE. I think that it is a bag of operation system on the phone.

I recently updated my iPhone 5S to ios8 and not I seem to be having trouble with my iMessaging. When I am in a group chat my iMessage will work but after awhile it switches to SMS even though my iMessage is activated and I can't switch it back. I have tried turning it off and on again and it doesn't work. Also sometimes when I just send one person a text over iMessage it changes it to SMS and I can't change it back. I would really like this update if my iMessage would just work! Also it seems that since I sent one person an SMS instead of an iMessage that it is no longer allowing me to send the message as an iMessage.

I upgraded my phone yesterday to iOS 8. Right before doing so, I had it on the charger and it was charging fine. After installing the new iOS 8 it will not charge. It's the originally iphone charger that came with my phone, I've tried the wall outlet, my car outlet and my phone. I've restarted the phone then rebooted it to no avail. Have anyone had this issue and if so, how did you fix it? My phone is about to die and not sure what I can do once it does.

iphone 5s 64gb here

i havd a hard time believing a company as thorough and thoughtful as Apple didn't have people test out iOS 8's functionality on older models. I am actually shocked at just how **** poor this version 8 update is. It has turned my iphone into a laggy battery draining mess. I will be watching closely to see how fast apple acknowledges these issues and how fast they can put out an adequate update that will fix this mess. If I get the slightest inclination that this was done on purpose to push people into buying the new iPhone 6, I will not hesitate to sell ALL of my apple products and will never give a single cent to this company again. As you can tell I'm pretty disgusted at just how horrible this update was, I was totally not expecting such a colasal failure from Apple of all companies.

the issues I've been having:

battery draining 4x times faster than normal

safari browser has a whole host of issues: running slower, flickering, webpages loading up distorted, slow to focus when zooming in/out, etc.

RAM memory is constantly at 75-80% capacity

iCloud backup not working (i upgraded to 20gb and tried to backup my phone a dozen times even let it go overnight and it would just get stuck during the upload and not move any further)

iphone resetting itself on its own (never happened before)

ibooks & App Store not functioning properly (search bar & navigation controls would disappear/distort)

iPhone itself would heat up and get very hot

I tried to wipe my phone clean and restored from iTunes backup and it didn't fix anything. i am extemely disappointed with Apple snd this whole debacle. At the very least they should give folks the option to go back to 7.1.2. At this point that would be a true major upgrade.

I am really waiting for for the next version! I bought an iPhone 6 plus with iOS 8 pre installed, and upgraded two iPad Airs, one iPad 4, and a mini retina. Boy was that a mistake! My battery life has been reduced to less than half of what it was before on the iPads, and the iPad 6 plus (with a supposedly wonderful battery life) barely lasts through the day. I had a one hour phone call on LTE yesterday, and the battery went from 100% to 75%! Something is really wrong here. I have had apps freeze, crash, etc. does Apple even check this stuff out before they give it to the public.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment is the iPhone 6 plus. How can Apple boast about its wonderful battery life? I've never has a phone with a shorter battery time. I just can't believe Apple said that this can go for many more hours than any previous iPhone. I've shut off everything that can use power - no multitasking, nothing. I even have shut off most alerts, etc. it makes little difference. I thought I was going nuts until I saw other users have the same complaints. I even turned on one of my iPad airs yesterday, immediately put it on standby and left it on the desk for about 8 hours. It sat there doing nothing. When I came back and shut it down, the battery had gone from 100% to 86%. It was just sitting there doing nothing. It never lost any power before the upgrade from 7.1.

When hen is Apple going to come clean and admit that this is a mess? Better yet, when are they going to fix it. They seem so obsessed with selling phones that they really let loose a loser OS. I will reserve judgment about the 6 plus until an OS fix comes out. Right now I have screen brightness turned so low that I'd be better off using these things in the dark.

After upgrading iPhone 5 to IOS8 I have an issue with Bluetooth. When my phone is connected to my Toyota Camry 2014, the middle button on my steering wheel that used to display playlists, artists, genre, etc. no longer works. pressing the button now does nothing after upgrading to IOS8. If I connect the phone to my car via USB cable, the button works though. thd middle button on my steering wheel doesn't work only with Bluetooth.

Here's my lovely list - using an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0.2:

- Messages failing to send on both iMessage and normal message. This has happened while both on wifi and with at least 3 bars of phone coverage..

- Message app continuously crashes.

- Other apps continuously crash.

- Touch screen can be intermittent when trying to place a cursor somewhere on an internet page, or in a message that I am typing.

- Phone coverage is intermittent now. This is noticeable in places, such as at home, when it never used to have any problems. Calls drop out or cannot be made at all. When on a call sometimes the call will be dropping in and out, even though the phone says 4-5 bars of reception.

- The phone will not stay connected to wifi. It is constantly dropping off and I have to restart my phone before it will connect again. All other products, such an my husbands’ phone and our iPads are not experiencing this problem.

- When I am able to connect to wifi and use it the speed is drastically slower than when using other Apple devices on the same wifi connection.

Let's hope that 8.0.3 fixes everything so we can finally use our phones as we are meant to be able to.

Wifi issue:

Apple disabled LEAP authentication method by default - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6441

But they mentioned nothing about how to enable this authentication method where required. I am not being able to connect to my office network which is a WPA2-Enterprise network with Encryption type AES and authentication method: Cisco: LEAP. Gives error "Incorrect username or password". Does any body have any solution?

My battery drains very fast (100% to zero in about 4 hours with minimal usage), started happening right after I upgraded to iOS 8. Issue started happening both on my iPhone 5S and on my iPad Air after iOS 8 upgrade.

I am also having bluetooth issues on my iPhone 5S, the bluetooth sync in my car behaves very weirdly after I link it up with my phone. It tries to call one of my contacts and then hangs up. It goes in this loop for ever.

Also just regular music playback on the phone does not work. Tried playing music several times, the music keeps cutting in and out (seems to jump between iPhone and iPhone speakers)...

Find my iPhone app does not save my login credentials... have to enter my password every time I open the app....

Is anyone at Apple even looking at these issues ??
