iOS 8 : Problems & Issues

Hi All,

Please add your issue/problem/difficulty with iOS8 on your iDevice. Please hit "I have this question too" if you find similar problems on your device and request others to do the same.

List of issues: iOS8

1. Miserable battery life.

2. No option to choose 2G network.

3. Excessive heating problem. Becomes very hot with a little use.

4. Display(flickering and color gradient) issue if the brightness is increased to the highest level.

5. Safari crashes frequently.

6. Safari gets the maximum usage of battery though I closed/terminated it from multitasking menu.

I am also facing the same issue about the battery drain. I guess, we can accumulate the issues here to make Apple notice how many users are suffering from iOS8 update.

1. Had same with high temperature, shutdown all locations services and location services and then re-enabled seemed to fix for the moment.

Also have problems connecting to 2014 Mitsubishi ASX via USB, causes Mitsubishi head unit (no navigation) to hang displaying 'checking content' or something like that, severe enough to have to turn off car and restart the accessories to get the unit to talk to our old iphone4 (running iOS 7)

Won't be upgrading any other devices 😟

All my issues seem to be resolved ... by itself... at least without me doing anything....

maybe some carrier updates were pushed down .... ???

A new issue that I have now...

* Airplay does not work... the airplay button does not even show up now on my phone...

Great that your issues are resolved too soon. Mine are still there

1) Battery drains too fast

2) 2G and 3G dongle issue, apple please enable 2G

3) Even the movement of dongle is not smooth as it use to be. It moves on and off very quickly and you can notice it. something wrong with iOS8

4) Several times I noticed I can't turn off 3G as the settings becomes unresponsive and goes back to home screen after few try

5) Also I didn't like to control center theme, for me it looks very shabby. The previous one with transparent control panel was good

I am using iPhone5.

Apple please release the update soon

Probably you should Reset All Settings to check whether you can get rid of the unresponsiveness problem. If it does not solve, then you can go for a restore with iTunes.

Big issues I have so far,

iMeasage app seems equally unstable and useless. And so does the latest version of WhatsApp and

many other apps. And there's also a lag when trying to send a new message.

Can't even activate iMessage for my phone number but it constantly charging me every time am trying to activate it.😟 😕 😟

My problem with iOS 8 is my wifi keeps cutting in and out! its not my router, as my ipad mini retina stays connect all the time. hopefully they fix it!

battery drain is still a big issue for me!!!

also wifi keeps dropping out and web pages are slow to load

With the 3G thing I notice on my 4S when I turn off the 3G the signal drops to one dot and an E appears next to the carrier name (in my case Telstra) I thinks this means Emergency only

I also notice that the phone looks like it goes to 3G when in standby and when I wake it up the 3G symbol appears and then reconnects to my wi-fi network.
