iPhone 6 bluetooth not working correctly with Nissan

My wife and I each have a Nissan Pathfinder (mine a 2014, hers a 2013). We have always had out iPhones pairs to them, but the iPhone 6 is not working correctly. The phones pair, but there is no audio (in or out) during phone calls, the screen in the car does not show a call was initiated when dialing out, and the Answer and Disconnect buttons on the steering wheel are not working. We have restarted both phones, restarted the car, deleted the pairing and re-paired. Nothing works. Is anyone else having this problem? This is a HUGE problem and it needs to be fixed ASAP (I am hoping through a phone firmware upgrade).

I also noticed that my Jabra headset I use at my desk (although it works for calls), loses the functionality of the single answer/disconnect button. I am assuming this is the same issue to either the bluetooth radio hardware to firmware. I have only seen one page on the net talking about this to date. Any hep is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Same problem here... 2011 Nissan stock radio with the old iphone 4 head unit. Worked on iphone 5 under ios 8 - now the connection is very flaky - sometimes it works - mostly it drops in the middle of the call and can't pick up incoming calls using steering wheel controls. Bluetooth indicator in radio comes on infrequently. Tried everything - reset, removing all bluetooth entries in radio and phone - no joy. May be time to replace radio - I highly doubt we're getting a firmware update on old equipment out of Nissan. Need to test in my daughter's car - she has brand new 2014 Prius C. Of course - I traded in my old phone already :-(

In pertinent to the headset issue, I have a similar problem when using Plantronics headset. After updating to iOS 8, can’t use the headset to Receive or End calls (though the calls work fine). Have to always answer or end the calls through the phone. Weird thing is that it works on my older 5S and my colleague's 5 which is running iOS 8. Something got messed up somewhere during the upgrade on my phone. And Apple is advising me to restore as new and install the apps. I hate to do this as I don’t have the time to spend 2-3 hrs setting up everything again.

i did 2 things and it seems to be working. I read on another site that if you log out of iCloud, make the bluetooth connection, and then log back in- it solves the problem. I also deleted an app that connects my iPhone to my camera. I'm pretty sure it was the iCloud connection - it pulls in both of my iPads as Bluetooth conbections. Seems to be rock solid now.
