iPhone 6 bluetooth not working correctly with Nissan

My wife and I each have a Nissan Pathfinder (mine a 2014, hers a 2013). We have always had out iPhones pairs to them, but the iPhone 6 is not working correctly. The phones pair, but there is no audio (in or out) during phone calls, the screen in the car does not show a call was initiated when dialing out, and the Answer and Disconnect buttons on the steering wheel are not working. We have restarted both phones, restarted the car, deleted the pairing and re-paired. Nothing works. Is anyone else having this problem? This is a HUGE problem and it needs to be fixed ASAP (I am hoping through a phone firmware upgrade).

I also noticed that my Jabra headset I use at my desk (although it works for calls), loses the functionality of the single answer/disconnect button. I am assuming this is the same issue to either the bluetooth radio hardware to firmware. I have only seen one page on the net talking about this to date. Any hep is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

IIt's not just my car, it's all my Bluetooth items , ear unit, headed set , beats pill, Motorola ear peace, none of them let me fully function Bluetooth with my iPhone 6....

Given you're having that many issues with Bluetooth, I'd take the phone to Apple and let them check it out. If it's found to be defective, they'll exchange it. In my case, my phone connected instantly to both my car and my Bluetooth headphone.

My iPhone 6 is doing the exact same thing to my 2014 Nissan Xterra, Motorola headset, and my Freedom Spirit headphones. All will connect. I can't hang up the call from the headsets or talk to the person through my car speakers. Took the phone to Apple only for them to tell me all 3 were broken. I think not when all 3 worked fine with my iPhone 4s on Thursday. I took the car to Nissan on Saturday, they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Apple said the only thing they can test is if the accessories are connecting to the phone, which they are, so Apple feels it is not the phone's problem. Bullswanky if you ask me.

Same problems here with iPhone 6 and 2014 Toyota RAV4. Apple says "not us", Verizon says, "Toyota's fault" and Toyota's Entune Support says, "Verizon's fault." I just got a call back from the service manager at my Toyota dealership from where I purchased my vehicle last month and they want me to come in tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. to see if they can figure anything out. At least they aren't pointing any fingers (yet) and genuinely seem like they want to help. My gut feeling is that this rests solidly on Apple's shoulders.

Up until Friday when I got my iPhone 6, my iPhone 5s running iOS8 was working just fine.

I had the exact same issue with my 2011 Mercedes Benz E350. I thought it was the car and was going to schedule an appointment with the dealership service department. Fortunately while on a business trip today the exact same thing occurred in my rental car (2014 Chevrolet Camaro). I took the phone back to the Apple store. They were reluctant to swap it out but I insisted. The replacement phone works just fine. The technician at Apple insists that the issue is because the automakers need to update their software. Regardless, it's annoying and widespread. I have also reported this to Apple. It's almost like the phone is stuck trying to make a call.

Same exact problem.

iphone 6 worked great with my 2014 impala.

When I got home I restored my new iphone6 from my iphone5 backup (iphone5 was ios8) using iTunes. This way I would get my apps data etc.

deleted and re-paired bluetooth in my car (tried like 20 times). It connected but was unworkable, and then showed disconnected.

Factory reset iphone6, deleted and re-paired once. Works perfectly.

There must be a defect with the upgrade or settings coming down from icloud.

Just got the iPhone 6 on Saturday. But I can't get the phone to work on my bluetooth on my 2014 Dodge Ram and it worked before on my iPhone 5. The phone will detect the car's bluetooth signal, and says it's connected, but calls aren't audible via the car stereo system, but rather the phone itself. And if I don't turn the bluetooth off, my car thinks I'm still on a call and the radio won't work and will not allow me to access my music either in bluetooth. I don't know but Apple needs to address this issue fast we spend a lot of money on these phones to have important features like this to work correctly and properly for the safety of everyone. It cannot be a vehicle issue when you have so many different year and brands having the same issue. I've tried deleting pairing on the phone and car and didn't work, I tried reseting network settings and that didn't work and I tried resetting using power button and home button and didnt work. So What's Next APPLE???

Solution found! I could NOT get my bluetooth to work on my iPhone 6, but my wife's exact same phone WOULD work. Chatted with AppleCare. . . AND. . . It was my case! Took the case off, bluetooth and wifi is working like a CHAMP!

My case was a Speck "Candy Shell" that I bought at Best Buy this weekend. It is being returned. . . . .

If this problem of Bluetooth connectivity is affecting you, take off the case. . . .
