iPhone 6 bluetooth not working correctly with Nissan

My wife and I each have a Nissan Pathfinder (mine a 2014, hers a 2013). We have always had out iPhones pairs to them, but the iPhone 6 is not working correctly. The phones pair, but there is no audio (in or out) during phone calls, the screen in the car does not show a call was initiated when dialing out, and the Answer and Disconnect buttons on the steering wheel are not working. We have restarted both phones, restarted the car, deleted the pairing and re-paired. Nothing works. Is anyone else having this problem? This is a HUGE problem and it needs to be fixed ASAP (I am hoping through a phone firmware upgrade).

I also noticed that my Jabra headset I use at my desk (although it works for calls), loses the functionality of the single answer/disconnect button. I am assuming this is the same issue to either the bluetooth radio hardware to firmware. I have only seen one page on the net talking about this to date. Any hep is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

I did what ever everyone suggested, reset all setting, reset network setting, deleting from car memory. It's works fine after you reset it and reconnect to the car with fresh new connection at first, but after I power the phone off and turn it back on, boom the problem comes back. It's got to be a IOS 8 issue. I did this 3 times and I am getting sick and tired of it so I am going to restore and set up as a new iPhone from Itune and wait and see how Apple is going to fix this issue.

I have 3 cars and the Bluetooth is having the same issue on all of them, work first then no more even with the suggest tricks. I hate my iPhone 6 now.😠 😠

Oh I forget to mention, My wife's iPhone 5 with IOS 8 have no issue at all with all 3 of the car. Only my iPhone 6.

A factory reset worked for me. I bit the bullet and did it to see if it would make a difference with my 2014 Toyota RAV4. I exported my photos, did the reset, and I paired my iPhone 6 with the vehicle. I now have full calling functionality again. Then, I spent an hour downloading all of my apps again. Not a fun process but I am happy to have my handsfree back. Thanks for the suggestion and solution.

I should also add that I had previously tried resetting my network setting a couple times before the factory reset but that did not rectify the problem in my case. I think it would be wise to try the network settings reset first but to proceed with a factory reset if all else fails.

I hate that you are having this issue. It made me absolutely hate the phone. There are tons of things you can try to resolve it, but the only thing that worked for me was to swap the phone out. Apple didn't want to do it but I insisted. Funny things is, although it worked, I'm afraid of it happening again so I letter BT turned off. Sad but true.

Keep in mind if you factory reset your phone, and you have icloud backup enabled, you may just get the same settings back right after reset.

In my scenario I had icloud backup disabled, then I factory reset, and bluetooth worked as it should.

phone is working well, it is in a otterbox defender case and working well (just mentioning due to other case issues mentioned)
