IOS 8 copy paste problem + slowdown

No it does not 😠

i wish I was aware of this issue before we upgraded our 2 ipda2's, both now have s defect in copy and paste

I too had an extra long hard reset after installing 8.1. I first did a hard reset immediately and went on checking mail, etc. Looked for a link to send to friend from Safari and discovered that Safari was basically frozen so did another hard reset. This was a quite long one and I was also wondering if it would eventually need more intervention, After what I consider not an ordinary reset time it did come back with lock screen and appears to be normal--other than 8.1 did not bring back Air Print for my older HP 3511 which I had hoped for. Luckily the printer does offer Wireless Direct so I can still print with additional steps in settings and wifi.

I did my iPad2 update thru iTunes on my iMac and it was sucking the iMacs memory very low during the update.

Safari froze before loading the first web page and I did a hard boot and went fishing as I saw where it was

going to take a long time to recover. When I tried again it wasn't quite right and then did one more hard boot

and then did a Reset "Reset all Settings" and it works real well now.

I have updated to ios 8.1, but the copy paste problem is not yet fixed.

I think it is a problem in Safari.

I was going to uninstall Safari, but I could not, because it, seems, is a element of ios.

Since doing the Reset Safari works faster than ever.

Upgraded to 8.1 on both my iPad and iPhone 6. The copy+paste problem is still there. safari is actually worse, numerous tabs keep crashing and showing that 'there was trouble loading' error message, which I NEVER got on any device before ios8. And I've had iPhones since the iPhone 3. This is ridiculous.

I Think I may have a solution , its working for me

to copy you have to PRESS your finger on the screen, get the bubble up, select the text and press copy-THAT STAYS THE SAME

BUT

TO PASTE-DONT PRESS, just tap the screen and the paste button appears and stays there!!! and it works

unfortunately, the issue has shown up again with 8.1 ... even though at the beginning it was fine ... I have just run the (Reset all settings) option, lets see if that helps ...

Same here with the copy and paste issue. I copy something, but when I go to paste, it randomly pastes something I copied days ago. Even after it finally successfully pastes something I actually want to paste (after having to hit copy 10 times), I try to paste again a few minutes later and it randomly pastes something old again. Also, echofon alerts stay stuck, someone will @ me on Twitter, I review it, but when I go back into the app, it still shows as a new alert for days, it also doesnt hold it's place in your tweet feed like it used to. I think it's funny that every time Apple releases a new phone, they also release the buggiest OS ever. Seems like they want to drive customers insane enough to just give up and buy a new phone. It wont happen, I'll switch to android if Apple wants to play that game. We aren't held hostage to iphone due to Instagram exclusivity anymore. It's been a month already, fix the friggin problem!

CUtie pie, my thoughts EXACTLY! I won't put up with Apple's playing games, trying to force a new purchase on us! If this is not resolved in a max of 30 MORE days, I'm buying myself and hubby an Android, if not just for spite! 👿 We are FED UP. MY IPHONE .5 and hubby's 5c were fine until the ios8 update. This is BS.

I have a brand new iPhone 6 and am dealing with the same issues. It's a glitch in the software, regardless of if you're using a new or old device.

I have a new IPad Mini, with the latest OS installed. Cut or copy and paste is still a bust. Invariably, something that was previously copied appears when attempting to paste something more recent. One would think that, given the importance of copying and pasting to its users, Apple would have solved this persistent problem long ago. Why haven't they? Better yet, why hasn't one of their representatives spoken to this issue in their forum?

yes, the issue starts exclusively after a copy/paste of anything in Safari

edit: I reported that already weeks ago, and Apple didn't bother to provide a fix in iOS 8.1. Started a new thread today... guess we might have to wait until iOS 8.2 is out ... later this year or early 2015 ... cool 🙂 I mean if Apple keeps dealing with major issues (like the home button bug, solved a month later) ... by taking their time, why not be optimistic?
