iphone 6 connectivity issues 2013 Honda CR-V

After deleting all old phone data, there is limited connectivity between newly connected iPhone 6 and Handsfree Link on CR-V. Phone is connected, voice tags set up, car makes calls, then call reverts to phone. Music plays from phone through speakers. Have tried altering accessibility settings, no permutation works.

I don't think it's an ios8 issue. iphone5 was updated to ios8 on 9/17, no handsfree link issues.

I'm unable to receive text messages. Honda dealer could offer no guidance.

confirming that a full phone reset and all other options have failed. Phone connects/drops, connects, drops, connects, drops.... sometimes every min or two for a full 20 min call, other times it stays on without issue. CRAZY making. - 2012 Honda CR-V, iPhone 6+, current os

If you go to the Honda phone compatibility website: http://automobiles.honda.com/handsfreelink/ you will see that text/e-mail is not compatible with the iPhone. So I am surprised some people report that they can get notifications to work (after turning on notifications in settings/bluetooth and tapping the blue i). I don't seem to even get that. (2015 CR-V, touring, i.e. navigation) with iPhone 6, iOS 9.

correction, I now seem to get notifications on CR-V to new messages, and it will read them. CR-V does nothing with photos. Haven't tried replying yet
