Can't dismiss notification on iOS 8

Just googled around and found this. I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 5S on iOS 8.

I meant this thread lol. AFAIK, it's an issue with iOS 8 that hasn't been fixed.

Yeah I have this problem too. But I don't think it's freezing on us, I think it's just there has to be a new way to dismiss them. I am waiting for a new notification to come in so I can try swiping left and right... But in my opinion this is a design flaw. They should allow you to swipe up, it makes the most sense. And moving your thumb all the way down to the home button doesn't flow.

In order to dismiss the notification you have to pull down slightly on the notification then slide up.

Same problem here.. I have an iphone 5 and I regret that I have done the upgrade. Quite annoying bug!

Same problem over here on my iPhone 5s.

I've found that if I try to swipe up, the notification "freezes" and the only way to dismiss it is to push the Home button.

I have also tried the swipe down, then swipe up method, and this does work.

Please fix this annoyance.

when the notification bar gets stuck for me i just press the HOME BUTTON, and the bar will disappear 🙂 (temp fix)

I Have the same problem as Philippeafa & so am repeating:

i have been having issues to dismiss the notification bar that appears on the top of the screen. I used to dismiss it by swiping it up. After I upgraded to iOS 8, my gesture doesn't work when I'm using some app like Facebook and get a notification from another app like Whatsapp. I swipe up and the notification freezes and won't go away until I press the home button, wich weirdly makes the notification go away but won't bring me back from the app to the home screen. This is really annoying & frustrating.

I have the same problem on iphone 5 using ios 8. I like to use multiple apps simultaneously but the notification is really annoying - it is taking up the space and get clicked while trying to use the app.

I should not have upgraded to ios 8.
