Ever since I've updated my phone I have been getting an app badage for Twitter and the switch to turn it off is gone.

If you are talking about twitter notifications view the instructions below:
To turn off app badge notifications for any app on iOS 8 you have to:
Open Settings > Notification Center > Twitter and disable Badge App Icons.

Yes, exactly what I'm talking about. Except that switch to disable app badages is gone on iOS 8. 😕

The badge setting is there for the rest of us using iOS 8.
1. Reset your phone: press both the home and lock buttons, releasing when the Apple logo appears (no data loss)
2. Delete and reinstall Twitter.
3. Best choice: avoid brain cell loss and loss of attention span greater than 140 characters by not using Twitter

You're not the only one having this issue. I can't figure out how to get the setting to show back up either. I have tried restarting my phone and deleting and then reinstalling the Twitter app. Nothing brought the setting back.
Did you update Twitter app? Did you reset as described in my post?

Settings > general > reset > reset all settings
I did that too. The setting still will not appear.
Also did all these nnone have worked

It seems it's not an iOS/device issue, it's Twitter.
So I just updated Twitter now and yes the badge settings were not there.
Try contacting Twitter Support and see what they say.
