I stayed up all night figuring this out and it finally worked. However, the apple support, nor my WiFi provider knew what to do. They are no help, and I agree with most of these posts, these products are too expensive to get such poor customer assistance. I hope my resolution helps... so here goes!

All you have to do is change the name of your network and the the pass code. I did this simply by just adding a number to the end of the current network name and the same number to the end of the pass code so it would be easily remembered. This will change nothing else. Unfortunately, everyone else will have to sign on again, but your devices will immediately pick up the new network name and it will work!

The hard part is that this has to be done through your IP address ( this information can be found under your network settings right on your computer under details), so you go to the internet and type in your IPV 4 router address just like you would type in a url, and it will take you to your server website. There you should have access to your WiFi settings to change this. However, it may ask you for a user name and a passcode to get access to your setting, and worst case scenario is you have to call your WiFi provider to help you out with this part, but whatever you do do not reset everything as this is what your provider will suggest..... That would be a nightmare. Just change the name of the network and the pass code, and it will work! I really hope this helps!

Fixed my home wifi connection issue myself while poking around the router settings while waiting for the online apple chat tech help session guy to figure out what to do next. Turns out MAC filtering is on and I just added the phone to the allowed list. Why this device needed that to be done, and every other device known to man (being in silicon valley that would be everything) that anyone has brought over to the house hasn't had an issue is beyond me.

Ok, after 3 1/2 weeks of misery, and returning the original Iphone 6 for another, with it still not working, I found a rigged workaround. You will have to manually add your iphone's wifi address (found in settings>general>about) to your accepted MAC address in your router's settings. This is a pain in the neck as all of my other devices will work fine without doing this. It's actually pretty easy, but should never be required which still infuriates me. On my AT&T router, when I add the MAC address, it automatically places it on the blocked list, but all I had to do after was hit the left arrow and it switches it to the accepted list. After all of the other suggestions that do not work, this one finally did and should be the culprit of most of you guy's problems as well. Hope it works for you and I hope Apple gets their act together!

Ok, this may sound stupid but it might help someone. I turned on my iPhone 6 to activate today and could not access WiFi and received the same message "incorrect password". I entered many times and even changed my password--no luck. Spent three hours on the phone with Verizon and Apple who were both very helpful but had no solution. Then it finally occurred to me that I was entering my password for the computer NOT the password for WiFi. Maybe I am the only one dumb enough to do this but this might help someone else out there who is doing the same thing. I didn't even figure it out until I got on the Charter Communications website and finally the light bulb went on. Duh. I'm only admitting this stupidity with the hope it will help someone else.

NOW I Have one of the greatest solutions to this problem... All you have to do is go on IPhone 6 go to settings then wifi then find your network click the ℹ button then click Forget Network then go to your Modem (Modem Must have a WPS Button or Power Circle Button) Press and Hold until Light is spinning around then Open your IPhone go back to wifi settings find your network and put password in at the same time the light is spinning on modem then it will connect with no problems IF IT DONT WORK FOR YOU THEN YOUR DOING IT WRONG...THANK You for Reading have a Bless day

i had the problem. My iPhone 6 plus connects to office but not to home network. It says incorrect password every time. However, the solution I found was to change some of the setting from the router. I have changed the frequency to 20mhz and changed channel to 11 or 13. No Mac filter or password disablIng. this has solved my issue. Pls let me know if this works any of you. Have a good day.

Ok so after playing around with my iPhone6 for couple of days I wasn't having any luck getting my home wifi to connect to this phone. I checked numerous times to make sure I had the correct password and I did. I tried resetting the router and internet settings on the phone and still no luck. I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!! As I continued to ponder on why this phone isn't connecting and giving me the error of incorrect password I said let me try typing in the Wifi password from my internet box...wasn't going to hurt to try I had tried everything else. I typed in the original wifi password from the box in and it connected to the home wifi!! Woohoo!! Hope this helps anyone else having the same issue!!

I've had my iphone 6 for almost a month now and I still CANNOT connect to my home network or any other network as a matter of fact with a useless "Incorrect Password" and "Unable to connect" message. I'm sick and tired of this issue, ofcourse my data plan usage is sky high! Come on Apple, name me one single phone brand that cannot do such a simple task like connecting to wifi ! That's the universal basic function of all phones, so clearly you have a problem and you need to fix this ASAP. These phones are NOT cheap and not easy to return especially when they were shipped overseas, and by the look of things replacing the phone isnt even a guaranteed solution.

Please do not suggest me amateur solutions like reset my network settings or restart my router, I'm done way more than that and it still did not work. Instead of releasing the 8.1.2 update for a ringtone purchase fix how about you focus on the real problem here? My phone is expected to come with ALL its functions. I'm waiting for Apple to come up with a solution for this or else I'm gonna have to deal with this legally. All unsatisfied customers have the right to sue a company that does not deliver the function that it claims it does, this is cheating and a waste of our money.

A software update that fixes these MAJOR issues would hopefully save Apple's reputation at this point.
