Keyboard Shortcuts do not sync anymore (iCloud, OSX 10.9.5 & iOS 8)

Hey everyone,

since I updated my iPhone 5 and iPad (3. Gen.) to iOS 8 all my keyboard shortcuts are gone and don't sync anymore between the devices.

On my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.9.5) the keyboard shortcuts are still there. (Probably because Yosemite isn't out yet)

Until I updated to iOS 8 everything worked just fine.

I tried to figure out what the settings have to be and I found that article including a video:

http://9to5mac.com/2014/01/04/how-to-create-and-sync-keyboard-shortcuts-between- ios-7-and-mavericks/

  • iCloud is activated on every device
  • Documents and Date is enabled

Don't know why apple would have switched off that pretty need feature...

Any idea, what I could do?

Thanks in advance.

Exact same boat as you now. iOS 8.1 for the time being appears to have solved the issue on my phone. Coming up on 24 hours now and they are all still there. However, none of them are synced with my Mac after installing Yosemite. I can manually add them to Mac but I enjoyed the convenience we used to have where adding one in iOS also made it available in Mac OS.

Hey guys. I've done nothing to my MacBook Pro or my iPhone to try to fix this problem, but somehow all of a sudden all of my keyboard shortcuts that I created on my iPhone got synced again to my MacBook Pro. I really didn't do anything! I suppose it came back after I accidentally left my MacBook Pro on and it drained its battery itself. Maybe you guys should give it a try or try restarting it? Hope you guys get your keyboard shortcuts back just like I did! Best of luck to you guys!
