on insertion of a CD/DVD ,the system rejects it stating the cd is blank
Also using the disc cleaner does not help at all
It does not show on disc urility either

If you have a pre-July 20, 2011 Mac, you are in luck. Those Macs support Mac OS X 10.6.8 which is not as sensitive to copy protection found on some discs. They also don't have as great a difficulty with Sony Rootkit that gets installed. See my FAQ*:
