Can't get ringtones onto new iPhone 6

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

I got the new iPhone 6 on Friday (yay!). But... for some reason, I can't get my personalized ringtones off of iTunes and onto my phone. I was on the phone with tech support yesterday and they pretty much said it can't be done. But I don't really think he knew. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part. But... I created my own ringtones. They are psychically on my computer and do show up under "Tones" in iTunes. They are m4r files that worked fine on my iPhone 4S. So... why can't I get them onto my new phone? Does anyone else have an issue with this? Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

So I figured it out myself. I had not checked "Manually manage music and videos." And when I did, it gave a scary message about erasing my entire phone! But I called tech support again, and they said that it only erases all the music and videos (I had none on there yet). So that enabled me to just drag my ringtones on to the iPhone. And they work just fine.

Okay- I've been trying to do these tricks but my problem is:

1. I CANNOT even view ANY ringtones when I go to my Itunes. I have the newest version of Itunes and a brand new Iphone 6.

I originally downloaded a ringtone from my phone and it disappeared like everyone says here. So I tried to go on my computer on Itunes and it is NOT in my purchases (I can't even find RINGTONES) nor can I find where to BUY RINGTONES on Itunes on my computer.

Any help???

I Don't think you guys are reading the posts in this thread. It sounds like you're just skimming and posting replies. In order to get your purchased tones into iTunes, you must goto your purchase history and find the receipt with the tune itself. Select "report a problem" and select the specific ringtone purchase. select the response that basically says it was not downloaded. Once you complete this iTunes will cue the tone for download. THEN you will find it listed in iTunes and you will be able to sync it to your phone. Yes, this seems to be a glitch. But at least the user here was able to find us a work around.

There has been a issue with ringtones and apple knows about it and is working on fixing it.

Apple is advising customers not to repurchase ringtones and if you did, just give them a ring and they will refund you.

Until then don't purchase any more ringtones at least until the next update.

You can request a refund by going to the Account section within iTunes on a Mac or PC, or you can get help by chat, or contact Apple Care.
