loose screen on the iPhone 6?

Does the top left corner of the iPhone 6 have a slight give when you press on it? Every other corner seems to be solid except for that one corner. I will avoid pressing on it but my concern is that it may become loose in the future.

Looks like It is a typical problem!

My story!

Bought new iPhone 6 ( 64 Gbit)

after 3-4 months screen from left started to get "loose"

I had insurance and I dropped my phone so Insurance got me new one.

Second iPhone 6 also had problems with scree starting to get loose after ~6 months ..

And as clumsy I am a dropped the new phone and got another one ...

Now the 3-thrd phone - again the screen is getting more and more loose ...

I had it and went to Apple shop and asked, whatta hekk in going on?

I payed like 900€ for it, and the build quality is garbage ...

Apple store workes showd me that the loose screen is noo "big deal" even hers was getting loose ..

ANd because 2 year warranty is over Get e NEW ONE!

At the end I went to real repair shop that told me about this problem.

What actually happens in most cases is that phone will bend a bit in your pocket and the glue that is used to attach the screen to your phone starts to get loose.

So there is actually 2 major reasons for that:

1) iPhone 6 aluminium case is really weak ant without extra frame to protect it - that makes it to bend.

2) Bending itself is not so big deal in other phones but iPhone 6 glue ( used with display) is really bad and screen will come loose...

So yeah.. Quality and durability is really BAD at least with iPhone 6, not so sure about others.

And Actually Im really amazed that there is no callback or refund campaign from Apple side because this is giving bad taste to all of us...

For ~1000$ and more I expect good software ( soft is actually good but not amazing) and best quality build and durable hardware .. currently the build quality and durability is a BIG disappointment.

My last hope is that SE models are better builds than other.

If not - why shuld I ever buy a new iPhone if it just is not usable on daily bases ....?

I have the same problem but for me it's the bottom right side. When I touch that bottom part it makes a knocking noise. At first I was very concerned that my screen was gonna fall off or something but it seems that this is a common problem so I guess I'll leave it hopefully Apple fixes this problem on the new phones cause it's quite annoying.

My screen is making a popping sound, too, like it's loose. Except mine isn't in the top left corner. It's also effecting how the phone performs. Now swipes are freaking out, letters in the keyboard are no longer working. For me, it's more in the bottom third of the screen. I have no screen damage, so I'm not sure what caused this. Just one day I heard it make that sound.

I am so glad I found this thread - it has been bugging me wondering if my iPhone 6 plus is a defected unit, but it seems this is a common problem.

If I tap on the top left of the screen it makes a clicking sound like it is a little loose. When I look closely at the phone whilst doing it I am unable to see any movement - it looks rigid. It is getting to me because this area of the screen is mostly used for "Back" buttons - so it gets tapped a lot, and it feels different to the rest of the screen and makes an audible click, rather than the soft thud when you tap anywhere else.

If press down on the left hand side of the screen then repeat this and tap on it, it feels and sounds solid, like the rest of the screen. At first I thought it might be because the volume rockers are housed here, but this confirmed to me it is definitely the screen.

I am on the verge of booking in an appointment with apple to replace the unit, is anybody else in the same boat?

iPhone 6 plus 128gb btw.

I guess it may be normal since it is happening on both models....I have the space gray iphone 6 64gb. I just called Apple technical support but he seemed like he didn't know what I was talking about. He just said that if that part of the screen is not functioning properly then he would say that's an issue. Also that it is not a known issue and to trade it in if I don't feel comfortable. Anyway, I did see you post on another forum and please let me know what you come up with. I live 90 minutes away from the Apple Store so I'm trying to avoid that trip if it's not a real issue.

Well, I guess so then - it just seems odd that it is the top left.

It is an issue, I expect the screen to be solid all over and not flex or sound strange when I tap lightly on it, so I think I will book in to go to the Apple store. I do not live close either, but for the price paid for the phone it will be worth it.

It would be interesting to know if anyone else has the same issue with the top left of the screen.
