Iphone 5s battery drain IOS 8

im having battery/safari slowness/keyboard slowness/overall slowness with my iphone5s that.s not even a year old with the new ios8+....my ipad is also affected

I also upgraded my iphone 5 to the IOS8 2nd rev and the battery life is much shorter, the apps crash (Facebook, Google and a news app I use regularly), and Siri is delayed with responses or actions. APPLE what is the fix? Can you upgrade my battery at the store? Is there a way to unload IOS8 and go back to IOS 7?

Well a LOT of us are having this issue with battery life, siri slow response, apps crashing. It is not just a few. Iphone 5 owner and now need to charge at least twice a day and I am not a heavy user and I have most things that drain battery off.

APPLE ARE YOU LISTENING?

Apple should replace all our batteries and solve the matter immediately

Replacing the battery is not a solution. I had my iPhone 5 battery replaced last week under the current recall campaign, but it made no difference to the battery draining problem. So far the only help seems to come from turning off as many location service items as possible as well as using all the tips given about background app refresh, notifications, push etc.

I went to the Apple Store about this issue. They wiped my phone clean and rebooted it as if I was beginning with a new phone. It completely solved the problems that I was complaining about in my earlier posts.

My iPhone 6 was getting really hot and my battery was draining really fast (when I was using safari or any random app).

I could fix the problem by removing completely the app "imonitor for ios8". Even though I didn't activate the widget of this app in notification center it kept draining my battery. I think there is a bug with the new widget feature...

I think what is the most frustrating is that Apple is not even acknowledging the problem. Then you don't know if they are even working on a fix! I am beginning to think they can't be bothered because they don't want to concentrate on an older product since you can go out and spend more money to buy the newest i-phone. $$$$$$😠

Im having the same problem, also safari is waaaaaaay too slow. The battery lasts an instant since the ios 8 upgrade, it feels like a half assed job

There is a battery replacement program in effect for certain serial numbers of the iPhone 5 only. Mine was covered by that.

I tried the wipe approach yesterday, i wiped all settings on the phone and did not restore them from a backup.

Now the phone survived the night with both location service and Wifi on, this morning there was around the same amount of battery left as when I went to bed.

Sow I hope that my problem is solved.
